Good morning everyone ☀️ I'm up early with the parrots again today, and just as well, because I have an ultrasound later and I can't eat or drink anything but black tea or water for 6 hours before it, so my early start at least allows me to have a coffee or two. I can go without food all day no bother, but coffee - never! 😊

Ziggy is currently sitting in my hand happily grumbling away while the sound of Toby crunching pellets and the white noise of the air filters makes me drowsy. I woke up at 1:30 am and never managed to get back to sleep after that, so it's going to be hard not to doze off in a meeting today! Although, I have to drink 1 ltr of water 90 minutes before my appointment so I think I'll probably be dancing instead 😂

Work in a wee while first though as soon as I have Ziggy ( who has now gone down beside me on the couch and is nipping my side and making her "tee hee hee" noises as I squirm ) sorted.

Here's a recent crochet doll that will be given as a gift to a niece for her Christmas by her Auntie. I loved her look and her outfit was just fab. The wee girl is a future fashion designer for sure 🙂

Here is a recent crochet make that I posted earlier this week. His name is Leafhog. I just love the wee boy's imagination and his wonderful design 🤗

Good morning everyone 🌞 I am up early with the parrots today and have just put Ziggy in for breakfast after a brief cuddle session. She was a lot more interested in getting her medicine mix and then "fwowing the spoon to the fwoor" multiple times, each time telling herself she was a "Good bird!" for doing so ☺️ Then we had to have a sword fight with her huge plastic sword. This entails me holding the sword and moving it a bit while going "Grrr!" and her attacking it with gusto. She really loves that sword. If there is one thing she'll consistently chuck about and play with every evening it's the huge plastic sword. Parrots eh? 🙂

Normally Saturday would be an Ethera and Grognak adventure day in BG3, but the new cages are ready ( I ended up doing them yesterday after all), so today will be the cage flitting day for Ziggy and Jadie instead. We'll get them out early and start the process, because there are a couple of things that need to be transferred to the new cages as well as me having to set up the cage lights again.

We also need to give them time to get used to the new layout so we'll need them to be nice and hungry later on to coax them in. Ziggy's new cage will be the most changed due to the food doors being on opposite sides to her current one, but I fully expect Jadie to be the problem child as the slightest change upsets her. It's going to be a mad day anyway.

Friday has arrived bouncing with excitement like a kid on Christmas Eve in anticipation of the weekend.

I've done my chores & had breakfast, just sippin my coffee while I build the energy & motivation to go & see if this overbox fits without a fight.

At least it's a nice day, its lovely and sunny here in deepest, darkest Yorkshire with highs of around 18ºC and scattered showers.

Thursday has been a bit mean to me, because I didn't get up at crack of sparrows fart it turned the power off just as I got into the kitchen & kept it off for 30 minutes!
Hats off to the Northern Powergrid engineer who fixed the fault well within the specified repair window we got though!

Not a lot on today, although I do have to take Mrs S to the hospital for an appointment later - nothing serious thankfully.

Up at the crack of sparrows fart to hang out the underwear wash & put in the tea towels in to wash - this is a going to have to be a well planned military action ... which means that other members of the family are sure to do their own thing.

I'm planning a foraging trip to the surplus shop later, because the thought of Mrs S's choice of 'food' leaves me a quivering wreck!

Wednesday has dawned bright but rather cool - at 14ºC when I came down at just before 7am.

So we are going thru the rigmarole of getting a doctors appointment - having to ring on the dot of 8am & still finding one is number 11 in the queue!

Today’s plans, sitting on a phone queue, then maybe, just maybe going to see the doctors.

I do seem to be over the worst of whatever this is, the levels of discomfort are a lot less & I’m feeling a lot brighter now I’m getting more sleep!

Friday has joined Thursday by the pool & has snagged the last deckchair!

Stupidly bright & sunny here in deepest, darkest Yorkshire with temps forecast to hit 28ºC later!

Bit tired this morning after a power cut in the middle of the night, happily it was only for an hour or so, so everything is back up again now.

No plans for today other than keeping cool - Mrs S is out for the morning so peace will reign until lunchtime!

Thursday has thrust its way past its siblings & has left them standing looking bemused.

Breakfast is done & coffee had - been out in the garden early, before the heat due later kicks in to top up the pond before the hosepipe ban.

Also checked the cherry tree - news seems to have spread & there is a full compliment of little visitors binging on cherries!
Still not too many birds sadly.

Plans for the day, hide away from the sun & the world.

Tuesday has marched in all determined to keep the week energised.

Feeling slightly abused as something had a good nibble at my thigh last night & there is now a painful bite there! My only consolation is that my bloodstream is so full of various medications that the culprit is dead as a doornail by now!

@UnclePJ @MAJ1 @weirdfolks BG3 is really good when you get into it. Took me a bit of time to learn the mechanics of the gameplay and I ended up rolling a new character after about 80 hours of the old one due to me levelling up badly on the first try, but once it clicks it's extremely satisfying 😊
