One from last week. The 'Balgy Gap' was only closed in the 1960s when the bridge was built. Before then vehicles had a +/-70 mile diversion. There are still stepping stones to the east of the bridge for the brave/daft.

One from earlier this week. Glen Shieldaig, Loch Dughaill, Loch Shieldaig, and in the far distance the hills on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. (Note the new deer fencing... this area is due to get 300,000 native trees planted by the Woodland Trust).

After a long dry spell, we finally have some weather moving in. I read that in Jan we had just 18% of the usual rainfall total here. It seems to have rained (too much) pretty much everywhere but here.

Couldoran this morning. 9 bedroom, 3 huge receptions/separate outbuilding with studio flat / 3+ acres, (in decent condition, I took photos inside and out) - sold recently for 'offers over'... wait for it..... £595k. Would struggle to buy you a woodshed in London NW3.
