Many to people don't accept their unique qualities, their eccentricities, they don't express it, and they suffer daily from the fear of being judged by those around them as the world. There are more of these people than you think. I encourage everyone to embrace the unique aspects of their personality. I embrace who I am, my ideas, my desires, my self-expression, my choices, I embrace everything. Dare to be who you truly are.
This image, captured by the Hubble Space Telescope , shows the globular star cluster Omega Centauri which is located about 15,790 light-years from Earth.
Visualisation showing the elemental makeup of the human body and tracing those elements back to their cosmic origins—the Big Bang and ancient stars.
Here's a breakdown of what the image shows:
I AM MADE OF STAR STUFF
The graphic highlights that the elements that make up your body come from two main sources in the universe:
* From Ancient Stars
(The process is called nucleosynthesis, where stars fuse elements together and then spread them when they die):
* Oxygen: 65%
* Carbon: 18.5%
* Nitrogen: 3.2%
* Calcium: 1.5%
* From the Big Bang
(The very first elements created right after the universe began):
* Hydrogen: 9.5%
The remaining very small percentages are made up of trace elements. It's a powerful way of visualising Carl Sagan's famous quote: "The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff."
The graphic is branded with CERN and Google Arts & Culture, suggesting it's from a collaborative project they did, perhaps an interactive display or online tool.
Norah Jones covering Chris Cornell - Black Hole Sun
In my eyes, indisposed
In disguises no one knows
Hides the face, lies the snake
In the sun in my disgrace
Boiling heat, summer stench
'Neath the black, the sky looks dead
Call my name through the cream
And I'll hear you scream again
Black hole sun, won't you come
And wash away the rain?
Black hole sun, won't you come?
Won't you come? Won't you come?
"Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes
They call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box
They tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe"
"I must've died and gone to heaven
'Cause it was a quarter past eleven
On a Saturday in 1999
Right across from where I'm standing
It was clear that she was from another time
Like some baby Barbarella
With the stars as her umbrella
She asked me if I'd like to magnetise
Do I have to go star-trekking
'Cause it's you I should be checking
So she laserbeamed me with her cosmic eyes"
"Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, darling, kiss me"
Merry Christmas to the world so apart. I send these wishes to the whole world and particularly to those countries affected by war at this time. They deserve Christmas wishes also.
