Here are two places with decent prices and info about the different types. We bought a mattress from the first one and it was shipped from the second one, so they must be related. It arrived in a timely manner and in good condition. https://homecarehospitalbeds.com/ and https://www.diamedicalusa.com/medical-mattresses
Eventually, when our person became less able to move in bed, we added an alternating air-pressure overlay on top of it to prevent pressure sores, that cost another ~$50.
My vertebrae are moving. Like my neck is. They're doing this thing where they click or pop and I get lots of symptoms from it. It can feel like swelling or pinches nerves. I get the feeling there's not enough blood in my brain, burning pain in my fingers, numbness weakness paralysis.
What could be swelling there? Who would I see to get care?

From the previous link:
"... the Director of the Spine Center visited, ordered the correct imaging tests (dynamic CT scan w/ flexion and extension views)."
@robloblawDisability group I know about CCI but there aren't any treatment options for it directly other than surgery. Also it took a long time for that person to get surgery.
I'm looking for over-ear passive hearing protection that I can wear in bed. Not earplugs. Something without active noise cancellation, as this makes my tinnitus worse. I've been wearing a giant pair of Mouldex ear muffs which do a great job cutting the noise, but are not so ideal when it comes to comfort. I'm a side sleeper, so something with a slim profile is preferred.
Suggestions?
Hi! I'm new to mastodon. I have no idea how things work here. Is there a like button? I see a favorite button but does that influence how many ppl see a post?
I'm hoping to make some connections. I became #bedbound somewhat recently and I am in way over my head. I'm also looking for #disabled folks from my bg: POC, #Muslim or #Arab, preferably from NYC, has #longcovid. Please say hello if any of this matches you!
Unfortunately for some people with mobility issues, problems being upright (#OrthostaticIntolerance) mean they can't use traditional #wheelchairs or if they do, they can't be upright for long. This looks a interesting idea!
