"“For me, the takeaway is we know very little—even the very basic of how they find a site,” Parzer says. “Then there’s a lot of species variation. Why are some puddling a lot? Why are some not at all? We have some species where females also puddle—why is that? And then we noticed there’s a big gap. A whole continent is essentially missing—Africa—so there clearly needs to be something done in that area as well.”"

Day 31 🥔🤓🍻🚫👵📺

“People obviously are over the ads and just want day out of the way and get on with their lives. I get all of that. But you know, we live in the greatest in the world. It’s worth for and and and that’s what the is about”

“I think is the first essential ingredient, I’m sure of that, responsible drinking as well, but NOT WATCHING THE ABC would be a good start.
For the young ones, at home, FORGET THE ABC. And if you do that, you can probably start with a good night.” —

Canadian creator of Pixelfed has smashed through their Kickstarter goal. Can we band together to get Lemmy.ca/Fedecan as a $500 sponsor? ( www.kickstarter.com )

I was going to post this in /c/Canada, but figured I'd post it here first since we'd need someone to officially represent Lemmy.ca/Fedecan to make it happen and organize a sort of group-pledge from the lemmy.ca community. ...

brianpeiris OP , to Lemmy.ca's Main Community in Canadian creator of Pixelfed has smashed through their Kickstarter goal. Can we band together to get Lemmy.ca/Fedecan as a $500 sponsor?

Oof, I wasn't aware of this. Thanks for the link. The sub-linked open letter about his behaviour towards others is particularly concerning: https://dansup-open-letter.github.io/appendix/#behaviour

I'm still a bit torn, because I think Pixelfed (the software) is still worth supporting, but we can let more of the community decide. Ultimately the Lemmy.ca/Fedecan representative would have to decide anyway.
