There's a large group of folks who do not identify as disabled (despite experiencing symptoms consistent with disability and barriers consistent with ableism), often because of stigma and internalized ableism.rsc.org/policy-and-campaigning #DisabledAndSTEM #Chemistry @disability

"How our community recognises their disability

Data from RSC Member Survey 2022

Just 4% of our members self-identify as disabled people. 10% of our members, however, said they "experience barriers or limitations in their day-to-day activities relating to a form of disability, long-term health condition or impairment" - meaning that up to 10% of our members may meet the legal definition of disability."](https://ecoevo.social/system/media_attachments/files/115/104/890/347/686/828/original/9dd03c1a19ecd4fe.png)
