From Denmark I can report that we have had a surprisingly good, sunny autumn day, even though Trump said in the UN that our country would be "going to hell".

Trump also said that the US was "hot", and that surprises me, because my hellhole country has an unemployment rate of 2.9, while the US is at 4.3 and rising.

It is almost as if — and please hear me out here — Trump does not now what he is talking about.

If you run Firefox (or any of the forks), run uBlock Origin. Many ads are malicious. If a site won't open or won't function properly because you're using an ad blocker, leave the site. It really is as simple as that.

@cmccullough yeah, every trojan/virus/etc i ever got through a web browser was from an ad, and i've worked at website companies where our sales people told us how it could be tricky to determine if new ad providers were legit or not -- some of them even serve legitimate ads half the time or, for the first month or, to everyone outside a certain area....

tldr blocking ads = smart

@Endof10 With Windows, if you can be bothered to spend 5 minutes reading, you can also manage when your updates apply.

Linux has a kernel update almost every other day, if you don't reboot immediately to apply it, you're not secure-- tons of Linux machines out there that haven't rebooted in years because "Linux secure!"

If you feel that downloads are slow, just press ❎ to cancel the download then press Install/Update again so it picks up some other mirror.

There's no unified "F-Droid server" but several and a dozen or more mirrors.

Each time you try again it will use a different one. Hopefully the next one will have better bandwidth.
