Our local party (closed down after last election by somewhat erratic unilateral decision) has just reestablished and it is all X, FB and Insta. I have suggested Mastodon but noone knows it. I have bought Honda vehicles for years and would love my next car to be a Honda when my current hybrid Insight finally gives up the ghost. However, their electric offering is very limited. I want a small town car and they don't offer one in the UK. They're missing a trick.

Chilling article on the manual for ICE's immigrant-targeting computer system, Palantir ELITE, which was leaked yesterday via 404 media.
To target a "criminal or immigration nexus" the software pulls Americans' personal data from across the government, including data from Health and Human Services and other agencies unrelated to law enforcement.

A reminder that Palantir is currently hoovering up NHS data on UK citizens as part of govt contracts.
