I've noticed Republicans never talk about the ideas Charlie Kirk advocated for. They never talk about his life philosophy or his political agenda. The only times he's ever mentioned is when it's about him being assassinated. This basically proves that Kirk is nothing more than a meme to them. His sole function is to be a martyr for the right, and a way to push the narrative that lefties are violent criminals. The man had no substance in life and was merely a mouthpiece for the elites.

This is why I'm building an email subscription list for my music on BandCamp in order to grow my following. Any platform you're posting on suffers from the fact that there are a lot of potential followers who simply don't have accounts on that platform, but everyone has an email address, since it's more or less necessary for posting on the Internet.

I still use Windows 7. As for any security vulnerabilities it may have, I keep it behind a hardware firewall at all times and hit the emergency power switch if Firefox attempts any sort of drive-by download. Only reason I would use Windows 11 is if there's some specific piece of proprietary Windows-only software that I wanted to use (like if I wanted to use Ableton for my music instead of just a clunky MIDI sequencer).

Haha, that's one way to deal with it. I'm not sure how effective it is, though.

A social media post by Ken Cheng. The post begins with the text "AI will never be able to write like me." followed by "Why?". Ken Cheng then explains: "Because I am now inserting random sentences into every post to throw off their language learning models." He provides several examples of these seemingly nonsensical insertions within sentences: "Any AI emulating me will radiator freak yellow horse spout nonsense," "I write all my emails, That's Not My Baby and reports like this to protect my data waffle iron 40% off," and "I suggest all writers and artists do the same Strawberry mango Forklift." The post continues with more examples that reads: "The robot nerds will never get the better of Ken Hey can I have whipped cream please? Cheng," "We can tuna fish tango foxtrot defeat AI," "We just have to talk like this," and "All. The. Time." The post ends with the phrase "Piss on carpet"

I did this with Pinterest a couple years ago to stop Stable Diffusion from stealing my art. I created a fake Pinterest account and uploaded decoys for all my artwork (same username, same tags and keywords, etc.) - basically fake pictures that were doctored to resonate with the pre-existing training associated with those keywords while diluting any attempts to train the AI on my real artwork. It's basically a watering hole attack, but for AI.

Also, "never pay taxes"? You mean, kinda like how Donald Trump never pays taxes? Or Mark Zuckerberg? Or any of these MAGA heroes?

All my life I've never conformed to all these arbitrary, unnessesary neurotypical social expectations and invisible rules, and I've felt all the better for it. When I have tried to conform, it always backfires on me!

Recently I've been embracing my self, de-programming decades of "deficit" propaganda in favour of attitudes. There's nothing wrong with me, but everything wrong with ableism. :Neurodivergent:

Indeed. I'm so tired of the word "coward" being applied to whistleblowers and other people who challenge the government and corporate elites. It's time we applied it to the actual cowards in the aristocracy.

I've had a lot of people ask how BlueSky compares to Mastodon and the Fediverse. I've tried to make the answer as simple and easy to understand as possible:

🦋 BlueSky is designed to give corporations and wealthy people full control of the network. All of its traffic has to flow through expensive-to-run corporate relays.

:Fediverse: The Fediverse is designed to give ordinary people control of the network. All of its traffic flows directly from one cheap-to-run server to another.

Diagrams of how BlueSky and its AT Protocol functions, compared to how The Fediverse and its ActivityPub protocol functions. BlueSky's traffic flows from servers to corporate-owned relays, and these relays communicate with each other before allowing traffic to flow to servers. The servers cannot communicate with each other at all. The Fediverse's traffic flows directly between cheap-to-run servers, with no need for any corporate involvement. While technically these are both forms of decentralisation, the BlueSky interpretation puts corporations, rich people and wealthy organisations in full control of the network. The Fediverse interpretation puts ordinary people in full control of the betwork.
