rue:barbe, the (manual) bike counting and modal split estimation application has been updated on fdroid. It solves an issue with the display on phones with software buttons. Update on fdroid or download the new apk and share your feedback (here, on issue tracker, by e-mail, whatever you like).
Rode my #bike to Valley of the Giants Outstanding Natural Area, idk, maybe last week, it's all a blur because I do this too much
The name says it all. It's in Oregon, USA. It's hard to get to by car or bike. It's closed to cars right now. It's always really fucking hard out there. I'm not kidding
60 miles / 7000 ft elevation / all day long
96 km / 2133 m elevation / also all day long in metric
On the D&R canal, at least the part that wasn't an obstacle course. I was training for a bike tour from Pittsburgh to DC on the GAP and C&O trails. Since it's gravel, I rode the D&R for gravel practice. Turns out it was overkill because the GAP and most of C&O were super nice, but my practice on the D&R came in handy on the worst parts of the C&O. #newjersey#nature#forest#canal#gravel#bikes#cycling#photography#darktable
I tinker on stuff. Wood stuff, metal stuff, digital stuff, and so forth. Portland, OR resident since 2000. I like #bikes. And #sailboats. Politically rather far to the #left. But revolutions aren't JUST about lining fascists up against a wall. They take everyday #communitybuilding and #kindness
The fuel train from Belarus is wondering, if helping Putin was a good choice.
There are many videos of this incident in Smolensk, eastern Russia, and in some of them you can see typical cylindrical fuel cars that have been destroyed.
Luckily for the Russians, Putin has focused on transitioning away from fossil fuels, because wind energy will save them through the long cold winter months, and… no wait… that’s Finland. My bad.
I like #bikes#nature#freesoftware#art#dance#theater#fediverse#xmpp and more. Happily married, have one baby and one more comming. We practice some arts and cultural management, I mean to promote theater, dance, museum, martial arts and stuff like that. We run our own and self-managed cultural space in Cochabamba.
Gonna try to write more in english but is not my first language so thanks for your patience if I make some mistakes.
i'm raven, a silly transgirl on the internet who likes to write, and create free-to-use #photography (mostly landscapes). u can find me on mastodon, and see what an overview of what i’m up to on my now page. i have so many interests and try my best to experience new things in this short life. some sort of neurospicy, tend to be overly genuine, a bit corny, over-opinionated at times
“chaotic af, kinda scatter brained, but smart if that makes sense”
“very direct and able to be vulnerable very easily (a good thing!) and the most ethically-minded and community-focused person ive met!”
“an iceberg. you’ve got a fun, flirty, smolder of a vibe when people meet you initially. then after getting to talk with you people see that you’ve got way more going on under the surface of the water”
i upload my photography as creative commons attribution license, i don't own a car, i have a #cat named Loki who i post about under the #catsofmastodon tag, i'm #divorced after a 14 year marriage (not the outcome i wanted, but here i am), and now happily in relationships as a relationship anarchist.
i live in #pdx and want to make it a better place by organizing and creating #unions and #community
New bike day was exciting, tiring, and ultimately a great success!
Drive to Dad, drive to bike, bike back to Dad's, bike and car back home, drop Dad back to his, drive back...... Seven hours later, we're all home.
Absolutely lovely.
Ready for the trip to Brands Hatch for BSB this weekend!

Since he had lived most of his life in Margão, my hometown, I ventured to mention my father. 'Good gracious, I was his student. I knew him as a teacher, as a fellow Marganese and as a friend. (highlighted by me) I have even given him rides on my bicycle,(end highlight)' he said with some amusement. When I tried to explain something of my father's story, his sensitivity cut me short.
