Makers of the fediverse. What are the options on the market for a #3DPrinter as a replacement (or complement) to a Bambu P1S? It needs to do multi material support (i.e. like the Bambu AMS), as well as the more advanced filaments like TPU. Quality needs to be as good as a Bambu printer. Bonus if the build plate is big enough for a 300mm x 300mm print.
What printers should we be looking at with these requirements?
True story: I bought my #3Dprinter as a recon and it failed after a month or so. Let's just ignore the genius who decided that parts of the hot end of a machine that melts plastic should be made out of the same plastic…
The company who sold it to me couldn't get the requisite spare parts but could get a file to print them. They printed half a dozen and sent them, then emailed the file. Whenever I need a new one, I fit it and then print three more, to be on the safe side!
That aside, a Christmas Eve stopover sounds an excellent idea, although the market is more end of November/early December. It just takes away that "I've got a two hour drive home" worry. And, "Hooray! More cider." weirdfolks group
