I couldn’t find a Habit tracking app that I liked. They are all so needy, with bad UIs, poor data visualisation, and ill-suited to my use case.

I want to track frequency of both positive and negative events, then see their distribution and correlations.

I figured out a way to do this natively on by using the HealthApp in a slightly unintended way: define the things you want to track as Medicines!

Each can be set to your preferred schedule, with or without reminders, or set to ‘as needed’.

And for low friction logging on my I used to make one button that gives a drop down list of these and other items I want to keep track of.

@ntoyohito The colours are from a set of Schmincke half pan watercolours. Not having every colour of ‘ink’ I added in some watercolour thinking it’s functionally the same. You can get inks that are super vibrant though. Particularly because some (like Ecoline & Piñata for example) are dye based, not pigment.

Using an inktober prompt murky, this Atmospheric Landscape Watercolor is painted with Daniel Smith Lunar Violet and Shadow Violet. While murky was the inspiration, it feels more forboding.

This is an Atmospheric Watercolor Landscape Painting in portrait orientation in an A5 sketchbook using Daniel Smith Lunar Violet and Shadow Violet. This piece is quite dark on the bottom half with a few areas of water white watercolor paper showing through. A lot of pigment is pushed into the atmosphere making for an eerie feel. The are a few ghostly thin leafless trees reaching nearly to the top of this artwork.
