This is good one.

Readable, informative, thought provoking (my view of AI having been adjusted somewhat in line with inklings I know I'd been having that were given voice here), and a cool look inside a thought factory.

This whole "OpenClaw" thing has made me very angry and I wrote a bit about the why. It's not that "it's AI": It is the way that kind of project invalidates decades of work and care in free software. "AI" software isn't just careless, it is actively rejecting responsibility and care.

Someone should probably inform the White House's "AI & Crypto Czar" that no one is forcing AI companies to train their models on Wikipedia

You would think the obvious solution to "the volunteer-powered project we all train our AI models on for free isn't adequately twisting reality to our political views" would be "... and so we stopped training on it" and not "... and so we will force the volunteers to bend to our will"

This isn't going to stop with Washington, D.C. or Chicago. Also, taking >100 FBI agents off of whatever they are doing and assigning them as temporary beat cops in DC has to be the dumbest, most wasteful and demoralizing use of federal law enforcement I've seen in a while.
