"I found them! I found my feet!"

A photograph of a blue tit standing on a branch, bent over so that it looks like it's inspecting its own feet. The bird is facing away from the camera and to the left and the photograph is taken from a low angle below the bird. A few more small branches are in the frame, out of focus, but most of the background is entirely white from snow further back.

Stranger in a strange land II

This is almost the same photograph as one a couple of days ago, just quite differently edited to give it another vibe

Some kind of fungus or lichen is my best guess, but I haven't been able to identify them at all. But they were very pretty

A photo of a row of three small fungi, lichen or similar. They hade a stem that folds around forming a tunnel of sorts, with a distinct wavy appearance at the "seam" and deep olive brown/green colour. The opposite side grows taller, forming a saddle shape, with a salmon pink inside. They form a diagonal line and in the out of focus background mor of them can be seen. In front of them are some damp green moss. the upper left part of the photo is a dark blueish uniform shadow

Winter minimalism II

A monochrome greyscale minimalist photo of a few stems of some kind of grass stickup through snow covered ice on the surface of a lake. there are four larger stems, in the middle and slightly to the right, with the two leftmost of them crossing over each other. On its own, farther to the left, is one smaller stem, slightly bent, and with a dropping leaf sticking out to the left from it. The stems are entirely black, silhouetted against an almost pure white backdrop, with just the faintest suggestion of texture on the snow near the base of the stems.

As the saying goes, "To find a mushroom in a needle stack"

A photograph of a small white/light brown mushroom growing up from between a bunch of brown pine needles on the ground. The mushroom has a long thin stem and a rounded conical cap with stripes. In the soft background a couple of more mushrooms can be discerned and to the left is a small cobweb with water droplets, hard to see. The rest of the image consists of the pine needles, in and out of focus.

Mushroom and moss monday

A closeup photograph of a small, relatively tall mushroom in a sea of moss. The mushroom has a tall slim stem and a rounded conical cap, brown towards the center and white around the edge, with radial stripes. towards the left is a slender reddish sporophyte of some moss, with a series of small water drops along its stem. the rest of the foreground is a sea of green moss, sloping down towards the lower right corner. The background is entirely blurred, quite uniform and deep green.

Public beach in november

A quit dark photo of a large birch tree at a public beach in November. The beach itself is barely visible in the shadows and the now leafless tree is but a silhouette against the deep blue overcast sky.

Smoke and steam

A wide field photograph in the middle of a coniferous forest, mostly spruce. The sky is mostly overcast, in a blue cool tone and the tall trees appear as dark silhouettes against the brighter sky. Smoke and steam from a campfire just put out rises between the trees.

Caught in the web

A square macro photograph of a part of a cobweb, full of waterdrops. The web in itself is hardly visible, making the drops seem levitating. Some drops are in focus, other mostly blurred, mostly on the left side. The background is mostly almost black expect for the lower middle part which is beige/yellow from a very blurred leaf behind the web.

A misty morning on the way to work

A photograph of a misty morning with the sun shining and visible in the middle of the image. In the foreground is a grassy hilly meadow with trees occupying the right hand side of the image and behind the meadow, parts of a small industry can be seen. Around the buildings are sombirch trees. Around the trees and buildings is a light mist, and the photo bathes and glows in the morning sun. There are some light clouds in the pale blue sky.

The infinite variation of sunsets

A photo of the setting sun. The sun is in the centre of the image, just above a tree line than goes through the entire image from left to right. On the left as a round hill and then in the middle and right part, quite low and straight. In the foreground are a couple of trees on the rightpartyly reflecting the sunlight so they can be discerned against the sihlouetted treeline behind, and where they rise above the line, as sihlouettes themselves against the bright sky. To the left of the trees is a row of reeds, the tips of which glow bright in the sunlight and the bottom part entirely black. In the bottom left corner, almost invisble in the shadow, a small piece of a lake is visible. The entire image is almost monochrome from the yellow glow of the setting sun, but the sky has a slight blue tint furthest away in the corners. A single small cloud is in the sky, above the hill.

A small Boletus edulis on a damp autumn evening

A photograph of a small Boletus edulis with surroundings. The mushroom is slightly right of the center of the image, with some lichen next to it to the right. Along the right edge is an almost leafless blueberry shrub peeking in with a few twigs. Along the left edge of the image is a small tree stump, capped with green moss. The ground inbetween is very uneven and covered in green moss and some pine needles. The background is blurred and green in the lower parts and dark along the upper edge.

The beauty of moss close up

A macro photograph of a cluster or sporophytes of some species of moss. In the middle of the photo is a bright green piece of moss, in appearance like a miniature spruce tree. It's surrounded by other green moss and a multitude of brown phorophytes with long thin stems and a cylindrical and a bit bent capsules at the top end. The background is blurry and green.

Squirrels are nuts about hazel

A greyscale monochrome photograph of a squirrel sitting on a vertically oriented wooden board. The squirrel is facing the camera slightly at an angle towards the left, its tail in a large arche behind it. It is holding a hazelnut in its front paws, nibbling on it. Behind the board a few strands of grass are seen, before a blurry, dark background. Peacock butterfly (Aglais io)

A photograph of a peacock butterfly, sitting on a thistle flower. The butterfly is photographed from behind, and it is sitting with its wings spread, giving a good view of the colourful pattern. The Wings a predominantly red/orange, with large white ringed spots towards the outer edge. The background is out of focus and mostly green, with a few more thistle flowers discernible.

The green haired guardian of the pond

A photograph of an old and very worn tree stump sticking up from the surface of a pond slithgly left of the center of the image. On top of the stump grows a thick patch of grass. On the surface of the water are some green lily pads and one yellow water lily flower, close to the left edge. The background is dominated by thick grass growing up through the water, slighly out of focus.

Roe buck in a sea of yellow and green

A photograph of a roe buck lying down in a green meadow that is full of small yellow flowers. The buck is mostly hidden, only its head is visible and is looking slightly away and to the right. A moth, a butterfly and a bumblebee walk into a nectar bar..

Fallen trees giving new life

A vertically oriented, slight telephoto picture of a small clearing in a lush green forest at evening. The ground is entirely covered in moss, blueberry shrubs and other smaller plants. In the foreground, slightly out of focus, is a small patch of sunlit ground surrounded by shadow. In the middle of the image there are to fallen spruce trees, with ranches still sticking out in every direction, but the trunks are mostly covered in moss. In the background stands different trees, and between them a small patch of sunlight can be seen.

Moonrise

A wide angle landscape photograph taken on a clear evening from the shore of a small forest lake. The lake fills most of the bottom half of the image, with the right hand edge and corners occupied by bushes and trees on the near shore. the top of the image is framed by pine tree branches sticking down from above, partly obscuring the view of the sky. In the middle of the image the pine tree forest on the other side of the lake is seen, forming two triangles that meet in the middle. and are reflected in the almost calm water. Above is the clear blue sky, with only a couple of very small clouds visible on the left side, just above the tree tops there. Slightly to the left of center, above the tree line, the moon can be seen rising.

Behind the scenes: testing out a new foldable mini camping stove. It worked very well :)

A close up vertically oriented photograph of a small foldable stainless steel camping stove. The front plate of the stove which is the main focus of the image looks like a large happy smiley face, with it's mouth being the main way to feed more wood to the fire. The stove is so small it can only burn smaller sticks, not regular size logs. The is a fire burning in the stove with the burning wood visible through the mouth and large flames coming out of the top. The openings that are the eyes of the smiley face glows from the fire inside. The stove is placed upon a metal grid belonging to a fireplace. In the background, which is out of focus one can se tree trunks and light bokeh balls from sunlit greenery.

Late summer evening

A photograph of two tall, branching straws of some kind of grass crisp in focus in the foreground with a slight telephoto lens, almost like sihlouettes against a partly cloudy sky at sunset. The background is out of focus, but little enough that the outline of trees, almost black, can be seen in the background, giving way to a still quite bright sky, half filled with clouds of which the uppermost are lit by the setting sun.

A macro photo of a patch of green moss. in the foreground a few stalk of different types can be seen sticking up from the moss. Most of the stalks are red-brown and end in a yellow-green oval structure at the top and a couple are shorter with a small cylindrical looking top in the same colour as the stalk, sticking out horizontally, almost like little flags. In the background the moss gradually fades away into a bright green blur, and many more stalks can be seen, also blurry.

In the blueberry woods
