So I 3D printed a design that I thought would make for a fun pin to put on a backpack or laptop case....but so far no one I've shown it to has recognized this logo instantly...feeling old today.

Throwback to 2007. I made this Sam and Max comic making fun of the smaller E3 show that year. This was for a contest on 1up.com, and I won a physical copy of Sam and Max Season 1 on PC.

I've been following BornCG's tutorial on making a 3D platformer in Godot. A little more than halfway through, and feel that I'm learning quite a bit. Excited to try and make something from this after it's done!

Since the joycon on Switch 2 are different, someone pointed out that that will likely make Ring Fit Adventure not compatible for play on Switch 2.

Maybe it's the joycon redesign that created that compatibility difference and not necessarily the actual processing hardware.

@Gwendolyn I've also heard someone suggest that since the joy con and system itself is larger, none of the Labo stuff will work with it.

Some rumors have said the joy con may still be usable as controllers, so if that's true Ring Fit will still work. So that would be cool if true.

I've been making a small arcadey game in the past two weeks. It's basically Tapper, but in a library. Patrons come down five different lanes wanting to sign up for library cards, and you have to toss them their cards! Hope to have it up on my Itch.io page soon.

animated gif of gameplay from my game. Lots of patrons travel down 5 carpeted lanes from the left to the right while a librarian avatar on the right jumps between the five lanes and sends cards at the patrons, who get hearts above their heads and walk back the way they came

Finished this weekend, what a great game! I was really impressed with the power up system, some great suits that felt like they were straight out of Mario 3! Highly recommend!

anyone have experience with the 8bitdo ultimate? ive been eyeing it for ages (with wifi dongle) cause i want a really good wireless controller and every single bluetooth controller i've ever owned has had connection inconsistency issues

but i kinda wanna know its actually good before dropping that kinda money. thinking of getting it for myself as a little present for releasing kitsune tails

@eniko I have the 8bido Ultimate Wired controller, not the wireless. But I absolutely love it, I think it's my third controller from 8bitdo? Really like their stuff.
That being said, for some reason that particular controller I've been having trouble getting recognized on my Steam Deck, and I'm not sure why that is. (Was looking forward to using it to play Kitsune Tales, but alas)

the number of extremely bro gamers that discover kitsune tails' demo and go "oh its just mario 3" in a disdainful voice as if mario 3 isn't like, one of the great classic platformers for a reason is baffling

@eniko Ha, really. More games like Mario 3 please!

Many yearn for the "good old days" of the web. We could have those good old days back — or something even better — and if anything, it would be easier now than it ever was.

@molly0xfff Thanks, really enjoyed reading this! I'm also hopeful that more people will start making their own weird spaces on the web again!
