Murena sells spare parts for the Fairbuds & Fairbuds XL in the USA now. But they removed the one and only spare part listed for the Fairphone 6 (I don't remember what the part was). Was it ever even in stock? Why don't they give us more transparency on these things?
Update---Have been using my new Fairphone Gen 6 with e/OS for almost a week now in the United States, and it seems perfectly adequate for everything I needed. Minor quirks. No dealbreakers.
Per la prima volta dopo l’annuncio di tornare a sviluppare internamente Android Google non pubblica i "device tree" per i dispositivi Pixel, i nuovi driver binari e la cronologia completa delle modifiche del kernel. Lavorare alle custom ROM diventa incredibilmente difficile.
Spero solo come ho già detto altrove che tutti uniscano le forze e nasca una vera alternativa competitiva hardware/software inutile avere progetti come #murena#graphene#lineageos#microg che devono tutti fare i conti con le limitazioni come il #playintegrtyapi#playservice ... Mi ricorda un po la situazione che si stava creando con i drm su linux. Ci vuole una mossa della comunità europea e delle big dell' #opensource non tanto per chiedere a google che può fare quello che vuole, più che altro per lo store, ci vuole uno storie alternativo libero, in modo da avere versioni di app che non hanno bisogno del integrità o che hanno bisogno ma che sia un controllo svincolato da google cosa fattibilissima!! Chissà come finirà, io al momento mi devo tenere stretta la crdroid ferma ad a13 altrimenti poi non posso più usare l'app della mia banca, e per assurdo via web non posso fare praticamente niente, quindi neppure una webapp posso fare! Non posso mettere i miei documenti nel #wallet di #io 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ non posso fare nulla!
The web feels so broken. Subscription and login gates at every corner. Using Google on a phone now means being periodically quizzed on which of the buttons to press to not be redirected to the app store. Opening an Instagram link casually throws up a browser alert dialog because it tries to automatically open an unsupported URL scheme, presumably their own app, and apparently everyone is fine with it. I'm proud that Mastodon never locks public content behind login walls.
The solution to the Google mobile phone issue is one I've solved e/OS which is #deGoogle#Android. Been using #eOS for a number of years. Great security as well.

Nach viel Hin-und Her entertaine ich jetzt den Gedanken, mein altes Huawei P30, wenn es den soweit ist, gegen ein #Murena#Fairphone zu ersetzen.
Wenn ich alles zum Fairphone 5 lese, und ich nicht komplett deppert bin, müsste es auf jeden Fall in Punkto Kamera, Display u. Geschwindigkeit besser sein, als das P30.
Den Preis mal ignoriert, stören mich nur:
-die echt krass grottige Akkuleistung ( nicht nachhaltig, wenn man eig.immer nen ZusatzAkku dabei haben muss)
-keinen Kopfhörerstecker
If Apple integrates AI technology from OpenAI or Google, it could pose a privacy nightmare. I truly hope Apple includes simple toggle options to disable these AI features. I don't want OpenAI accessing my personal data; they are not trustworthy. I want a simple phone that does calls, texts, and a few apps. I have zero use for shity openai llm. I don’t wish to have AI on my phone. Please keep these fancy features as an option. Please don’t force them like Microsoft.
