While one prepares to read about the advancements made with the use of "artificial intelligence", nothing in this article enlightens the reader about it. Just some processes using 'machine learning' to improve their results, and that's it.
Disengaging from #US made #hype and #BS is going to be a long process. Hopefully the #AI bubble will burst first.
An illustration showing two contrasting Earths. The top Earth, labeled โFossil-Based Economy,โ is covered in oil rigs, factories, fires, and smoke, depicting pollution and environmental destruction. The bottom Earth, labeled โBioeconomy,โ is lush and green, with forests, fields, eco-friendly buildings, butterflies, and sustainable farming, representing a healthy, renewable, nature-based economy.
Imagine a network being out there where there are servers in almost every niche, that would be just silly :fediverse:
Or would it be that there is no money to be found ๐ค
I guess some people "belong on Twitter"?
Mark Cuban on Bluesky:
The replies on here may not be as racist as Twitter, but they damn sure are hateful.
Talk AI: FU, AI sucks go away
Talk Business: Go away
Talk Healthcare: Crickets.
Engagement went from great convos on many topics, to agree with me or you are a nazi fascist
It's shame I missed the chance there. I'd like someone to ask #Bluesky why they're started with such a restricted form or #federation.
The reason that really matters is this. For all practical purposes it will be impossible for smaller servers to ever digress significantly from the main one.
For example here on #Mastodon, moderation policies vary considerably. That will never really be possible with #bs because bigger names will control the space by forging business ties with the directors.
So for all practical purposes Bluesky will never really be decentralised. That's a shame because I'm not against the network in principle.
In the upper left image, the text is "boycott US based services and support European values", but in the lower left you present Signal as an alternative to Whatsapp.
Now, Signal is hosted in the US, on the Amazon cloud by Jeff B.
I suggest to promote federated technology instead, e.g. #Jabber๏ปฟ/๏ปฟ#XMPP.
In the lower right you present #BS, which, again, is hosted in the US and only pseudo-federated. #Mastodon is, of course, free and federated.
