Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.06% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:14AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(up 0.22 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.19 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(up 0.14 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 0.13 per cent) and Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 0.03 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 1.25 per cent), Mankind Pharma Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(down 0.33 per cent) and Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(down 0.29 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.06 per cent at 22578.95 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 83.15 points at 25051.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 358.13 points at 82115.86.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, JP Power, PC Jeweller and Anthem Biosciences were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Digitide Solutions Ltd., J G Chemicals, Paradeep Phosphates, Manaksia Coated and Soma Textiles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Reliance Comm, LCC Infotech, Future Supply Chain, Supreme Engineering and Marshall Machines hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
