Still displaying hidden or read posts

This has been going on for at least several months ...

• If you hide a post, it is marked as hidden on the server, and it should not appear again on your feed. Make sure that the option Show hidden in the top right overflow menu is unchecked.
• If a post is marked as read, it is marked as read on the server, and it should not appear again if Show read posts is unchecked for your account in Settings - Account preferences. Make sure to save the settings with the button "Save" before leaving the screen.

Both options only work for logged in users.

Check the following:

• Boost version is 1.0.24-28
• Settings - General - Internal YouTube Player is checked
• Setting - Advanced - Links - Links to open in app - Youtube is checked

this bug is happening again to me. the first ad pretends to be muted, while every other one doesn't even bother and it's a constant jumpscare

That's weird, the ad network is configured to start videos muted by default.

I will investigate further.

Constant timeout

Boost has been giving me a generic "timeout" error after about 10 posts and stops loading posts in /all or /local. ...

Title, all comments have the lock symbol beside the usernames, and we're unable to reply to them. Making a top-level comment still works. Instance doesn't matter, it's the same for all of them. Pls fix, this is pretty much a broken app until then.

ads playing full volume please fix

hi there so today i launch boost and get jumpscared by ads playing with sound on by default. i don't mind ads playing muted, but the default being sound on is incredibly infuriating. is this a bug?

Having problems with hide (SOLVED)

Just tried to hide a post (don't like pictures of spiders) and it didn't disappear. It just sits there (like a gross spider) and the only difference is if I click on the menu it now has Unhide as an option. Which also doesn't visibly change anything. ...

Issue sharing proxy images

When using the in-app share button to share images, a file called "image_proxy" is shared, not the image itself. This started happening for me when I switched to lemmy.zip from lemm.ee - I just tested lemmy.zip in Thunder and it works as expected, so seems to be some combination of server+Boost causing the problem.

A lot of other apps allow for direct image copy when viewing, usually via a long-press menu option. This would permit images to be used in other applications without the need for the file to be downloaded or to navigate through 5 or 6 taps to share it directly to another app

I've used B-7000 glue to fix the buttons on a Pebble 2. It is commonly used in mobile phone repairs and it is not expensive.

I see what's going on. Boost only resizes images hosted on Lemmy and that post uses external images 😩
