Our goal of shipping all three products in the first half of the year has not changed. But we have work to do to land on concrete pricing and launch dates>
I had a co worker today say trump was the lesser evil between him and Kamala. Then proceeded to say he was better than Biden, Obama, and Bush. I've lost all respect for him.
Another one said there's no reason to worry about politics because you can't fix them. They also vote republican, 100% only because they supported the second amendment.
There's nothing you can say to change their mind. We're just fucked as a country because our average IQ seems to be in the single digits.
I don't really know where to post this so I'm hoping someone can point me to the proper community.
Ever since the first Pie feed update 2-3 months ago, lemmy sporadically works. It will load the initial "first" page of posts on both mobile and on the web (PC or phone). Posts seem to work fine when I use old.lemmy. On the phone, posts seem to work in "anonymous" mode. I don't know if this is specific to lemmy.zip or if the first piefeed update broke lemmy for me somehow. I've tried the usual, clear cache, delete files, and try new apps. I have the same issue on mint and arch. It will randomly just work for a day or two between the months. I don't know what to do anymore.
Unsurprisingly, Epic Games CEO and frequent X poster Tim Sweeney has thoughts about the $900 million lawsuit against Valve in the UK, which recently got the go-ahead from a competition tribunal. Have you seen the prices of indie games coming out? Many are $5 to $20 and are far better than AAA games. What argument do they have that's preventing games lowering their prices?
If they dig into this, I'm sure they'll find greedy publishers to be the problem.
I live in Canada, so I'm sure there are plenty of nice ones available in Japan or Europe etc but I fear where I live I can't trust if something is an actual good brand or just paid shills advertising things on Instagram or mass paid 4-5 star ratings on Amazon. ...
My first bidet was an electric Vovo one. It lasted just over a year until one day it randomly overheated and fried itself. The company wouldn't repair or replace it. With that being said, I no longer support electric bidets.
I know lots of you have grown with it so that's just the way it has always been for you and you are used to it, but older gamers, why do you need a launcher? ...
I use steam for the ability to plug in any controller I want and instantly be able to use it.
I can download controller maps from the community on the fly.
I can stream straight to my TV and play in any room with a TV in it with zero effort.
I can join my friends games with two clicks.
Remote play allows you to play games you don't even own with your friends.
Works on linux.
Integrated workshop. Easy modding.
I use gog for older games not on steam.
Works on linux. (Heroic at least)
I could go on with steam, but those are the key points stands alone games don't offer.
I'm all for rulings against anti competition, but what does valve do that's actually anti-competitive? They're the most user focused storefront out there.
Are they stating AAA games have increased in cost because of this? I've noticed a lot of new games are $70 to $100+, but I've associated those with shitty companies being greedy.

This is one of the main reasons people don't vote blue. They care a lot about their firearms. If the red start going after them, grab some popcorn because things will go down. Maybe this is whats needed to get them to open their eyes.
Different distros have different bells and whistles. Mint is a long term stable distro, but comes with a dated feel. Which is great for some. I've used it for about a year.
General Abolfazl Shekarchi, a spokesperson for Iran's armed forces, delivered a severe threat: "Trump knows that if any hand of aggression is extended toward our leader, we not only cut that hand but also we will set fire to their world."
I experience no worse fps than I would on windows. I have star citizen running better on linux then I did on the same windows machine. To each their own I guess.
This is what kills any articles on the web. The first three paragraphs repeat the question you're looking to get answered and the last paragraph vaguely answers it.
I feel like an old person now but I've started watching movies from the 90s/2000s and I can't believe how much worse movies have become over the years.
I'm about a year in. I started with mint and I'm on endeavor now. It can be a bit fiddly to get setup. Once setup it behaves the same way, but less ads and copilot/edge aren't forced on you non stop.
The only issue we have is anticheat, and that only affects games like battlefield/cod. So not much of a loss there.

It's because of their massive investment into data centers. They're spending billions of dollars on them and they're expecting people to rejoice, not call them slop.
If we keep calling them slop, we might make their investors sweat a little. I think it's time to double down.
I'm only playing devils advocate. I'm not a fan of LLMs myself.
You need to know how to use the tool to get the correct output. In this case, it's giving you a literal answer. Craft your question in a way so that it will give you what you're looking for. Look up "prompt engineer" for a more thorough answer. It's how we thought LLMs were going to be to begin with.
Different language models input prompts differently.
Other models will input your question, break it down internally, figure out what you're really asking and then spit out an answer. It still might not be right but it will give you a better answer than that.
We're ragging on a wish.com version of a model and it's response.
