A mobile version of Phobos Down is now available on Google Play!
You can now play the score-chasing twin-stick shooter on a desktop Windows/Linux PC, Steam Deck, Android mobile device or an arcade cabinet (in case you're in Tampere).
I don't remember the last time I was excited about new technology. Everything seems to just be about stuffing AI to more places where I don't want it. I guess I'm officially old.
I'm very late for #screenshotsaturday but I just upgraded to Godot 4.6 and started playing with CharacterBody2D in this (quite literal) sandbox project I started earlier
I will have to postpone the Phobos Down Android release because Google Play won't let me send the app for review and I have no idea why. The support has been investigating the situation but I don't know when I can continue with this.
Android version 1.0.3 of Polychoron is out now! This is just a long overdue maintenance update that bumps Android API version to keep Google Play happy.
I didn't really plan for this but apparently the mobile version works flawlessly with gamepad too. I just paired a PS4 controller with the phone and it just worked 🎉
And by the way, do you think this overlay should be shown by default on the first game run? Or could I trust that people who need it can find it behind that question mark button?
I've kept the possibility of making a mobile version of Phobos Down open. Touchscreen controls already exist. The biggest hurdle is UI scaling, but that doesn't look too hard to solve..
I need to update Polychoron on Google Play soon, so I could make a quick Phobos Down mobile version too, while I have to relearn the publishing process.
I tried to figure how three boss enemies can appear at the same time in Phobos Down, only to find out that those are not bosses at all. They are just big.
This happened originally while watching people play the arcade cabinet. Thanks to procedural generation, I could reproduce this later simply by using the same game seed.
Phobos Down running smoothly on different hardware: Desktop PC (Linux/Windows), Steam Deck, DIY arcade cabinet, and mobile (experimental Android version).
I've been wondering why I'm getting lots of key requests and spam mail about my decade old game that isn't even on Steam but then I remembered there was another game with the same name and apparently it was just released on Steam.

Our stable branch for #Godot 3 users was due an update for new platform requirements, so here is 3.6.2-stable!
This is particularly relevant if you have games published on Android and iOS.
But we also recommended upgrading from earlier 3.5.x or 3.6.x releases for all other platforms. #GodotEngine
