Happy #Wrensday! This is very likely my first and last contribution to the hashtag, but I'm pretty sure I spotted one on Monday on #YnysLlanddwyn! 🤩
Behind it is the #IrishSea, so I'm slapping #MeerMittwoch and #SeaWednesday tags on it for good measure. We're off to Snowdon after breakfast, so I don't have much time.
A serene coastal scene, where tall, dry grasses and reeds dominate the foreground, gently swaying in the breeze. Nestled among the grasses, a small bird perches delicately on a thin stalk, facing to the right. The background reveals a soft-focus view of a sandy beach, scattered with dark rocks and leading to calm, light blue waters. The overall atmosphere is peaceful, capturing the quiet beauty of nature by the seaside.

A hare with red fur on its head and grey on its back sits facing away from the viewer but with its head turned to one side, one eye facing in the viewer's direction. The hare is surrounded by gold fern leaves, and the inscription, woven into the fern, reads, No need to hurry, no need to sparkle, no need to be anybody but oneself. The background is dark blue.

A photo collage of some of my new work for 2025:
A bee on lavender, a dreamy summer evening landscape, pink peony flowers, a wren, a robin and a forest landscape.
A colour drawing of a wren bird with apple blossom and a decorative background.
Despite being the UK's commonest breeding birds, Wrens can be surprisingly difficult to see, because of their tiny size and habit of hiding away in vegetation.
