D. Petraeus, A. RobertsConflict: The Evolution of Warfare from 1945 to Ukraine (Konflikt: Ewolucja działań wojennych od 1945 do Ukrainy)
Brzmi znajomo, no nie?
I am really fascinated by the intelligence of animals.
In this video, an elephant with "tusk gingivitis" goes to the dentist for treatment, and he clearly understands that the dentist is trying to help.
That is a 6 ton animal, which could crush any human like a twig, calmly accepting a human touching and cleaning a sore wound of his — even lifting up his trunk to make better room for the job.
Andrew Sorkin: 1929. Inside the Greatest Crash in Wall Street History (1929.
We always hear about nature being in trouble, but this week, RTÉ reports that the beautiful Puffins have returned to Isle of Muck near Islandmagee northeast of Belfast, after having gone locally extinct for decades.
If you are into archeology, BBC has made a very interesting program about the extremely well preserved bog bodies found in Denmark. Even though these human remains are more than 2000 years old, they are surprisingly well preserved, and allows us to see what clothes people wore, what they ate, and more.

I am grateful to live in a peaceful city, but today was not peaceful in Vejle.
I was Christmas shopping downtown, when a person suddenly went on a violent rampage through the street, kicking down street signs, damaging cars, an clearly being a danger to innocent bystanders.
Luckily the police were there within minutes, and I think they will catch him, because there was a security camera right above an area where he kicked a large merchandise rack down onto a brand new car.
Apparently the situation shocked me enough that I was unable to describe the perpetrator when the police arrived — my recollection was completely blank. I could not even recall what clothes he wore.
That annoys me deeply, because I wanted this man to be stopped before he hurt anyone.
So my advice to everyone is: If you see something dangerous, film it. You never know what you will be able to remember, but video is forever.
A Normal Linux KDE Plasma screenshot, featuring your usual things, like some Windows Icons (This PC (with Windows 11 design), Recycle Bin (With Windows 10 design), Shortcuts to AMD Adrenalin Edition and Epic Games Store, and something called KeyGen), with 2 panels, the top one being very similar to the one that comes in GNOME by default, while the bottom is KDE Plasma's default panel, with the icons having a MacOS design and being centered. The background is one of the defaults found in MacOS Mojave, badly stretched and with black bars, and at the bottom right a watermark saying "Activate Linux. Go to Settings to activate Linux." can be seen. Just a normal Linux desktop I'm telling you.
If your day is a little bleak, I recommend this video, which definitely put a smile on my face:
5-year-old girl with autism spots the real Cinderella in a park, and the kind woman — who is actually a white bride in the middle of her marriage photo shoot — instantly falls into the role.
Not all heros wear capes — some wear wedding dresses! 👰♀️

To kolejna pozycja, która potwierdza banalne, ale chyba niedostatecznie uświadomione stwierdzenie, że cechą charakterystyczną polityki międzynarodowej jest totalny chaos i częściej dochodzi do niezrozumienia intencji i celów adwersarzy, niż odwrotnie.
For those who remember North Irish guitarist Gary Moore, this live version of his song “Still got the blues” from 2008 is particularly impressive. The masterful handling of his Gibson Les Paul, his technique and the feel is just perfect.
I really wish this man had taken better care of himself. But sadly, after decades of heavy drinking, Moore died in 2011 only 58 years old.
Few things can get my blood boiling like idiots ruining other people’s dream projects.
On my peninsula, Jutland, in the tiny tourist town of Mariager (population: 2650), a group of art enthusiasts have worked tirelessly to fund and create a series of beautiful bronze artworks that depict historical people of the town.
At 02:18 last night two thieves began cutting down the sculptures, presumably with an angle grinder, to steal the bronze. They stole all four.
Richards Heuer: Psychology of Intelligence Analysis (Psychologia analizy wywiadowczej)
