I'm new to self-hosting. All I did so far was install Ubuntu Server, enable SSH and tried setting up DuckDNS, which I could not set up automatic update of my IP following the documentation, neither updating manually through the website, which even though seems to be changed, when I ssh the domain, I get the initial IP ...
Any DNS provider is good if they offer an API that lets you use PUT to modify DNS records. You can make a small bash script and crontab it. I also used DuckDNS for a while, and it worked fine.
It has the Firefox extension "Wallabagger", open-source and all. You just have to create a token in Wallabag, link it, and then it works like a charm. Doesn't work exactly like OP wants though.

Pretty much everyone I know uses AI daily, so there definitely is demand for it. You're living in an information bubble and don't know how commonplace it truly is.
Does anyone have any experience with HuggingFace TTS models in Firefox? I know that there is a mobile application that allows you to change your default TTS engine to one of the models. I also know of an old method to get different, better-sounding TTS to work in Firefox. I think I was also able to get the Microsoft voices ...
I find myself having to switch it on and off constantly, which is really annoying. The solution on mobile works great, which supposedly has privacy pass built in. Otherwise I'm really happy with how good their other stuff is. The translation is amazing!
It's just 2 programmers from what I'm aware. When you go to donate they say that the goal is 5000€/month, but they usually fall drastically short of that.
I bet that if they use the correct technologies (LIDAR and laser guidance systems), they would be a lot safer than regular drivers. Of course, computers make mistakes, but humans also don't have the best track record in terms of driving safety. You're technically not wrong though.

Acapella lets me just outright buy a voice and download it for offline use but the voices are somewhat dated now. I don't mind large on device library and I don't mind paying once, but I want it to sound good and I want it to work 100% offline (and privately). Also would like a male voice if possible, I know most people seem to ...
So I'm considering just using excel to keep track of all my expenses and income, but is there a better solution? What do you use to track how you spend money? I want something from which I can freely export the data if need be so excel is tempting.
This is really frustrating. Anyone else experience something similar? I should really file a bug report. Oh well, guess I'm just stuck with the good ole browser for now.
Anyone keep diaries in Obsidian? How do you format the filenames/directories and the notes themselves? My current formatting for the filenames is "/Daily Notes/DD-MMMM-YYYY". I'm sorry if this question has already been asked, but I'm just wondering, what your opinions are about lichess and chess.com? HBO is in good shape in terms of shows, but I absolutely think some merges will need to be made for the convenience of the end user. There are so many different streaming services that it makes it utterly impossible to watch anything without resorting to piracy. I'm hoping that the industry slowly rocks into place.
What a shitty take. Imagine betting on something with a poor human rights record and countless privacy violation. America may have it's faults, but it will get ironed out like it always does. I'm hoping for everybody's sake that China doesn't become the new global superpower. America has the soft power thing down to the t at least.
As for the other claims you made, source?
In my humble opinion Bush kind of fucked America up, but that is fixable.

I tried CalyxOS, but couldn't get some apps I needed to work so I'm back on the default software. I'd recommend CalyxOS anyway though, but now that I read that they are on pause, you can maybe go with LineageOS.
