Last night's full moon, shot on an iPhone with 8x zoom. It's shocking how quickly the moon moves in the sky. It was only there for a few moments, then it hid behind the tall building.
The tallest building to the right is at Yonge and Bloor, the shorter buildings closer to me are Honest Ed's at Bathurst and Bloor. The pigeons are the permanent residents of my street corner.
Skyline of Toronto, many skyscrapers and cranes. The sky behind is clear, coloured deep pink at the top and gradually turning to greyish blue at the bottom. The glass towers are reflecting the colour of the sunset, which is a firey orange. The moon a perfect full circle, rising between two skyscrapers. In the foreground is the silhouette of a flock of birds flying in formation towards the left of the frame.
The magnificent, large, full cold moon rising over the snow-capped Cascades and illuminates the evening sky. The peak of the Cascades in the distance add to the peaceful natural landscape.
This is our last full moon of the year, what a sight to behold!

This is a winter landscape of a pretty barn decorated for Christmas with a wooden fence and Christmas garland, snow covered pine trees at night under a big yuletide moon!
This morning's full moon over the Golden Gate Bridge. I've been using PhotoPills more and I'm getting comfortable with planning photos with it. Got the exact shot I hoped for. Unfortunately I'm still haven't figured out how to get the moon AND the foreground exposed correctly. It seems to be a compromise no matter what. I could blend in a pixel editor, but that's beyond me right now (and I won't use Adobe products). I have a lot of great RAW files to play with, though.
FWIW, I've been playing with GIMP to see if I can merge/blend exposures. It's a real PITA. The second photo is one such attempt.
Photo of the full moon with crater details (the Beaver Moon and supermoon of Nov 5, 2025) visible behind a layer of clouds. The moon has an orange tint to it and is partly obscured by dark clouds passing across its face. Surrounding it are glowing white clouds illuminated by its light, giving it a “crown” or “halo” above and an “apron” below. The rest of the sky is black. The effect is mysterious and magical.

I’ve been sharing full moon photos recently, and by coincidence, the photos I’ve taken close to midnight are also of full (or almost full) moons. Here are the Strawberry Moon of June 10 on a cloudy night in Brooklyn (11:28 pm) and the moon of September 9, just past the full Corn Moon, on a clear night in Idaho (12:56 am).
Two more views of the Beaver Moon. The second image was processed from an underexposed shot (intentionally? sure, let’s say that 😅) which reveals some reddish areas on the moon’s western side. Ancient volcanic sites? Iron-rich regions? Processing error? I’ll have to do some more research into what they are, but it’s always interesting to capture Luna’s unexpected spots of color.
Photo of the full moon with visible crater details against a black sky. In comparison with the previous photo, this image is less luminous and more saturated, revealing some reddish areas on the moon’s western side. Shot on an iPhone 15 attached to a Celestron 130mm Dobsonian reflector telescope.

The first Supermoon of 2025, a.k.a. Harvest full moon rises behind the rugged Cascades Mountain range, creating a dramatic silhouette against the evening sky. The warm glow of the sunset enhances the scene, blending hues of orange, pink, and purple.

Shall we go for Part Deux of Nocturne? Here we go then ... This is a capture of yesterday's evening power-walk in Playa del Ingles, close to the Anexo II shopping centre, right next to the beach, with a massive parking lot nearby and a good number of fancy houses (i.a. Santa Ana complex) with the full moon in the horizon. Oooh, and did you see the giant guitar as well? 😳🎸 Every time I see it, I don't know, it gives me the odd chuckles here and there. Like, WTAF?!?! Why would you do that?!? 🤯 haha
This is a watercolor painting of a full moon in the night sky over water with little islands and cypress trees in the foreground. It's painted in portrait orientation in a Bella Classica Art Journal with Arches Coldpress watercolor paper. The sky is a dark purpley blue that gets a little warmer a lighter towards the horizon line. The moon is set about 2/3 of the way down to the horizon line in the center overlooking the water with the reflection of the moon leaving a path of light on the water. At the horizon line is a little mountain. In the water are three off set islands of varying sizes. In the foreground are the tops of some cypress trees in a very dark blue/purple they're almost black.

Graveyard with Cat in Moonlight, in celebration of Halloween.
Sketching new,old and abandoned graves, some pristine, some neglected . A cat ran ahead of me, then stood on top of a flat gravestone, outlined in light, casting a dark shadow.
My interpretation is of this scene at night, with a full moon.

Full moon rising over the silhouettes of Cascade Mountains at night in Washington state, illuminating the sky. In the foreground the US flag and a lighthouse (Point No Point) are standing on the shores of Puget Sound at Hansville.
The Moonlit Owl / Bird Art by Lisa S Baker. A vibrant owl with striking yellow eyes and intricate feather patterns stands against a dreamy, cosmic backdrop. The scene is illuminated by golden accents that evoke the texture of the moon and distant stars.

Let's take a walk in the full moon light, where the shadows are lighter than in half moonlight. Are we being watched?
Two owls sit perched on a vibrantly swirling tree that spreads its colorful branches under a bright full moon. Lush yellow flowers bloom nearby, enhancing the surreal and mystical atmosphere.
Ether Art – A hand-drawn drawing / painting using the exciting modern art form, where art is created from scratch using a computer in lieu of a real canvas and paint, water colour, pastel, pencil, charcoal etc I create digital art from the ether, exactly the same as if I was starting with a blank canvas.
