A horizontal composition on white watercolour paper that has a background of large, luminous, circular blobs in cyan green. Across all the blobs are stretched strings of lozenges, like linked conical bacteria. The strings of lozenges are Prussian blue, crimson red, and mustard yellow. The strings don't follow any specific order or direction; they are bunched up into corners created by other strings or bunched together and turned around or overlapping each other.
Tried something a little different this time and it's now officially my largest watercolour painting yet! 56 x 76cm deer on Arches watercolour paper. What do you think?
I was very pleased with myself when I finished painting this watercolour cabbage, but I was totally surprised by how much other people liked it. I put it up on Redbubble, and cabbage-print socks have proved to be weirdly popular. I guess some people really just like vegetables.
