More people were charged with terrorism offences in the UK in the first three months after Palestine Action was proscribed, than were charged during THE ENTIRE WAR ON TERROR.

The High Court ruled the UK Government acted unlawfully and disproportionately in using terrorism legislation against protestors. Civil liberties, free speech and the right to peaceful protest matter. Protecting them protects everyone. Cllr Anthony Flynn explains.

"The proscription was clearly a political decision to please Israel and its arms manufacturer. It was an extraordinary attack on the right to free speech. Who can forget the images of elderly vicars and blind wheelchair users being dragged away from peaceful protests? Who can forget all the people whose homes were raided at the break of dawn for social media posts?"

The whole country is failing due to lack of maintenance. The for at least the last rwenty-five years has concentrated on pretentious vanity schemes that make bosses rich and the people poor, and the country as a whole cannot afford them.

In a speech later today, Rachel Reeves is expected to signal the UK government's aim of seeking closer economic links with Europe.

Is this the first sign of a change of strategy since the sacking of Morgan McSweeney?

Hello UK members on here: I would really like the Green Party to set up on . Our local party (closed down after last election by somewhat erratic unilateral decision) has just reestablished and it is all X, FB and Insta. I have suggested Mastodon but noone knows it. I will work on it locally but is there any way to take it to the top somehow? Can we get together on here to write an email? Any suggestions welcome.

Reform UK have been accused of pandering to Moscow, after failing to attend a Parliamentary debate on Russian interference.

The debate was called after a public petition which received more than 114,000 signatures, demanded a “public inquiry into Russian influence in UK politics and democracy.”

Not a single Reform UK MP attended the debate.

"Channel 4's documentary last night on Palestine Action’s proscription as a terrorist organisation was a game of two halves. The first half, which built the government’s case for proscription, was presumably the “balance” needed to avoid a pile-on by the rest of the establishment media. The second half then proceeded to tear down the government’s case brick by brick"

"British Health Secretary Wes Streeting privately said in July 2025 that Israel was "committing war crimes before our eyes" and endorsed sanctions on the state.

The revelation comes after Streeting released text message correspondence between himself and disgraced former British ambassador to the US, Peter Mandelson"

No question now. The entire UK government is complicit.

Today residents in Gorton and Denton received a letter from a concerned elderly local resident, urging them to vote Reform.

It seems the letter didn't come from a concerned elderly local resident at all, but from Reform themselves. It's a clear breach of electoral law, and just so snidey.

How does a click turn into a digital stalker?

It's the work of the Adtech industry that feasts on our cookies to sell ads.

This system automatically shares our data profiles with companies thousands of times a second, across millions of sites.

What about cookie consent banners?

Under UK law, you need to consent to companies tracking you. But the data regulator has been too lenient in how this is done.

That means we get hit with confusing or manipulative cookie banners.

So most people end up being tracked whether they want to be or not.

The Adtech industry has learned to dodge protections against cookie tracking.

Our investigation into the Adtech company, LiveRamp, showed that they use the contact details you enter into a site as proxy trackers to identify what you do online.

Adtech companies flaunt cookie rules because the UK data regulator doesn't enforce them.

So why might the ICO weaken them further?

It'd make it even easier for advertisers to target people based on mental health, addictions or other vulnerabilities.
