I tried recording a photography video in my kids bedroom turned studio and the echo was so bad that the audio was unusable. So I am putting these felt panels on the walls (got most of the easy parts done) and they’ve already made a huge difference.

Hey folks! a) What is this kind of pin called and b) can I order a custom one made now? I want to replicate Debs's 1920 Convict No 9653 For President. I've got a super hi-rez scan I've cleaned up and now I just wanna get it screened (?) onto whatever kind of pin this is.

ETA: UPDATE: I'm specifically looking for the kind where the pin sticks out from beneath the badge, NOT the kind where the pin fastens behind the badge.

    @jerry It's actually kind of funny. I live in a rather "redneck" small town in California, and all the "olds" here are talking about how it was mostly a hippy community when they grew up here. (Going naked down to the swimming hole, etc.) I doubt the "war on Portland" fuckers even have an idea of what they are getting into.

    FYI - because of what I saw happening over on mastodon. Social and a few other instances, I am resetting all the password of infosec.exchange users that haven't logged in during the previous 3 months. There's a lot of password stuffing and whatnot going on and I don't want to contribute to the problem of spam/phishing on the fediverse, and this was the best option I could come up with. Each of the accounts whose password is reset will get an email, so if you are here wondering "wtf, dude?", that's why.

    @cR0w @ohmu @ai6yr I have way more brain cells committed to other issues at the moment, but I do remember something along the lines of there being push back for fact checking something the "general mastodon community" considered "entirely wrong".

    Sort of akin to when @jerry welcomed the (unfortunately fake) Jen Easterly account to infosec.exchange, and suddenly everyone on here was "A Fed" and aligned with the FBI / CIA, etc.

    (ETA: I could be remembering this wrong. )

    Working with a coworker to understand and then rein in an ancient class hierarchy where much of the naming and documentation are misleading and/or no longer apply, and...

    If you have never worked in a large, older codebase that has grown organically, lemme just say that it is an EXPERIENCE.

    It's an art as much as a science, and if you don't keep things tidy it's so easy to snowplow tech debt.
