Here's from this morning at mega-coffee corp. It isn't the crowds of the other place, but not bad for drawing people today, at least. The window light adds something.

Here's an from yesterday on my super absorbent thirsty sketchbook, 11x17 inch when open. The sketches are looser in this book cause the paper makes you move your hand fast and no detail.

One quick today at mega-corp coffee hang. Rapt attention to a laptop and headphones. Ink on postcard as always

Here's a postcard from yesterday. It's a lot easier when people don't know you're drawing. It skips that unpleasant "are you looking at me" business.

Here are some random holiday envelopes that I sent out. Pretty nuts, eh? Thoughts?

A daily practice makes things look alike. You wouldn't know it, but this is new on envelopes from today, minutes ago.

This is from minutes ago at the indy coffee shop, so popular in my corner of town. I bought a bunch of these accordion books. Painful how grabby the paper is. Oh well, the books will only take me a few years to work through..

A postcard drawn a few weeks ago, our local landscape. The warp is mental (carbon life-form generated, not digital) .

This in my way, on envelopes. It's a daily thing for me. Each day looks a little different, but the viewer might not see that. Ink on envelope

A sketch of Iggy Pop on wet rice paper from yesterday. I'm new to drawing on this stuff, it's absorbent like tissue, but still strong. Most of the experiments go down in flames. The texture works pretty well for this Iggy though.

When I got back from vacation, I started looking around where I live with more interest. One thing that amuses, is the very vertical places on the hillsides. Ink sketch but not .

Here's a little more sketching from the coast yesterday. I'm drawn to sketching people, so if you look closely at the second one, there are very small people on the cliff. Ink in october, but not

I went to see the ocean today for a break. It's still as you can see from the streetlight. In the above sketch, someone walked across my field of vision just as I was starting, so here they are in a sketch.

This is a cafe sketch from yesterday. This sketchbook is too absorbent so I sprayed it with scotchguard, and it worked better. This is not a paid endorsement.

This is of the day I returned from vacation. It's postcards, so, strange as it may seem, I'm committed to sending them.

If you thought that surely I won't post yet more ink sketches of Welsh bridges over canals... well, here are more. Probably my last. As you can see, the drawing is done all at once with the brush. Using a pencil would be too many tools.

More Ink postcards from vacation in UK/Wales 10 days ago. Bridge, canal, trees.

An from just last minute. It's saturday, and I get to the coffee shop at least on saturdays. Usual crowd, maybe lighter due to vacations.

A page from my yesterday. Unrelated to that: Kathe Kollwitz was born yesterday or so, but many years before. She lived till the end of WW2, but was only 14 years younger than Van Gogh.

This is my first sketch at a cafe in 2025. The experience is a lot like 2024 for me, but the approach evolves. I enjoy the hubbub and try to stay anonymous.
