Could be. No part list yet but I'm not seeing any particularly rare pieces other that the two blue printed canopies under the saucer. However, odds are it'll be way more expensive to source and ship the parts unless you already have a lot of them.
Same. Tried it a while ago to scratch the Banished itch and, despite beng virtually identical and having mostly the same mechanics it didn't catch me. Might have to give it a other run.
Six days ago, upgradeable laptop maker Framework tried to convince its fractious user community to live in a "big tent" after a Debian developer objected to the company's sponsorship of Hyprland and its social media promotion of Omarchy, with both projects associated with politically polarizing viewpoints. ...
Imagine the downfall of framework being the donations made to some obscure (tankie?) dev that a part of the community does not agree with. This toxic "holier than thou" attitude of the linux community leads to fragmentation and will be the doom of the linux phone project too, I swear. Someone will find an obscure package developed by an asshole/tankie/nazi/whatever and will rage about how the project is now immoral because the project devs support it and insist on a public boycott. Why do some people seem to be unable to separate the software from the developer? Framework or the software dev is not your friend. Is their hardware/software decent and open? Cool, then keep using it, tankie devs be damned, or at least fork it and make your own morally pure version. But this endless bickering over what devs support will lead to nothing good.
I'm rewatching Babylon 5 and it's putting me in the mood for an immersive game where I get to command a spaceship and blast stuff with lasers or plasma cannons or whatever. ...
In increasing order of casualness I recommend:
Elite Dangerous->X3/X4->Everspace/Everspace 2-> No Man's Sky.
Everspace 2 is a spiritual successor to Freelancer, so probably your best bet ( Everspace 1 is more roguelike, but holds up nicely ). Speaking of Freelancer, I hear the game is still alive and has a vibrant community around it.
If you ever want to revisit Elite shoot me a message, I may help you with starting up. They say Elite doesn't have a learning curve but a cliff, so help is usually needed. Luckily the game has the most welcoming and helpful community I've seen in/around a video game.
Other than these, there's Chorus, but I haven't played that one and it seems more story driven than open-ended.
Yeah, CS1 was a good game but it didn't grip me and eventually gave up on it. Same for CIM, CXL and other modern city builders. There was Highrise City for a while, which has some neat features and looks a lot like CS but plays more like anno. But all in all I kind of decided nothing beats SC4 for the semi-casual mayors.
For those unaware, there is also Heroes of Science and Fiction, which is essentially homm 3 with a fresh scifi coat of paint and lots of qol stuff. It's in early access but man it catches the vibe so well.
Edit: To add, we've had a similar situation with the romanian diaspora in europe voting mostly for the anti-eu candidate during the presidentials. The mind boggles.
I don't understand how this "threat" is supposed to work. If the law passes won't any and all chat encryption be affected? In that case it doesn't matter how you get the app, or if you manage to get it in europe. Its encryption will be broken/unavailable.
I imagined the law would be enforced by a deal with google and some global android state approved keylogger/backdoor completely bypassing all apps including Signal. But yeah, I'm having trouble wrapping my brain around this.
It's not that bad. I have an older nxpaper phone and really loved the screen. It is indeed a glorified matte protector, but it felt really easy to read on. It also has a "low blue light" mode, a black and white mode and low brightness. I was longing for an 8incher with that screen and honestly would've gotten this if I hadn't already bought an android e-ink device.
Seeing the series' progression so far, I just know microsoft will stuff it full of FOMO crap and monetization, as well as a lot of AI generated stuff ( which, admittedly, may not be all bad ). But still, I'm pretty excited for it.
You bet they will. Right now its impractical, because a lot of people of it, but after laws like chat control pass it'll be easier to make encryption illegal altogether because a lot fewer people will go through the hurdles. Only criminals and deviants will use encryption. And you're no deviant, are you citizen?
...except they haven't, have they? They still have to work 40h a week ( not including OT ) under increasing pressure to deliver fast. Productivity may have increased, yes, but they haven't shaved shit.
Ah yes. I remember daimler boldly claiming in 2009 or so that by 2015 all their lineup would be electric. To see them instead become whiny subsidy bitches is just sad.
Incidentally, if anyone is looking for similar gameplay, there's a small project on steam, called Heroes of Science & Fiction. It's essentially HOMM3 with a scifi coat of paint and it's very enjoyable. Hoping it comes to gog too someday.

The Battle of Blair Mountain saw 10,000 West Virginia coal miners march in protest of perilous work conditions, squalid housing and low wages, among other grievances. They set out from the small hamlet of Marmet, with the goal of advancing upon Mingo County, a few days’ travels away to meet the coal companies on their own turf ...
Where I'm from the miner syndicates were repeatedly used by the communists to quell protests in the early nineties. Left leaning or not, they were another tool of opression in the authoritarians' arsenal, much like the military/NG in the OP.
My #1 priority is actually idle power usage. Efficiency on load is irrelevant. 99% of the time, it will be idle or web browsing. With low idle power, good Linux support (especially for decoding) and efficiency cores for light usage, I heavily lean on Intel. I don't mind if it is inefficient on-load. ...
I think that sadly you still have to go to nvidia for low power gpus. Amd have gotten better, but they don't sip ower quite as good. On the other hand, if you"re running a 4k/144 setup, neither card will truly be idling and the differences might be insignificant, so a 9070 could do.

Leaders from France, Germany and Poland are headed to Moldova Wednesday on the eve of the campaign for next month's high-stakes parliamentary election. Moldova's pro-EU President Maia Sandu described the European leaders' visit as a "show of support" for the former Soviet republic in the face of what the government has denounced ...
Not sure what this is meant to accomplish, as I doubt its actual mission is "a show of support". In fact, there is a risk the visit might inflame anti-EU sentiment, much like the public talk between Macron and Romania's Dan inflamed all the russian trolls before presidentials. On the other hand you shouldn't avoid doing something in good faith just because the russian trolls might complain, as they'd just find something else to shout about.
You are running a police state that monitors its citizens and arrests protesters. So yes, from a human rights perspective, dropping the ECHR is probably the last step needed to become just like the ruskis.
This feels like misplaced anger, given that blackstone owns god knows how much of the real estate market ( and have recently been evicting tenants in order to sell, due to the city becoming 'less hospitable' ). But hopefully the new anti airbnb measures have some effect.
Not sure why you're downvoted, it's true. China doesn't like dealing with smaller players and they're not afraid to say it. russia bullies smaller players. The US has kept appearances for a while but now they're in full break up EU mode. They all want to see a divided europe and are working towards that, because a divided europe is easier to ignore and can't set standards by itself.

Mass Effect 1 is still my favourite sci-fi game of all time
Do it. All mass effects are great. Even Andromeda ( despite the lackluster story )
I've been itching for a similar game these past few weeks and I swear there is nothing contemporary that is quite like Mass Effect. KOTOR is close, but is has aged like milk ( graphically ). Maybe the deus exes? I am still open to suggestions.
Also you'll want to play the legendary edition, I think they fixed some of the less pleasant gameplay quirks ME1 used to have.
I just sort of ignored it initially thinking it will definitely flop after seeing a trailer or two. But I played it recently after a legendary edition replay and it's an ok game. The story and characters are pretty uninspired, there's no escaping that, but the gameplay, the combat, the exploration vibe all click. It also looks great. And the new mako is brilliant.
Thanks. Yeah, I did try it. Must've replayed it a few dozen times since it released. Another masterpiece, that one. Might give it another run after 2.4 is out, lol.
