... Graphene IS a fork of Android. They don't even follow all of Google's rules.
And this impacts stock. GrapheneOS is not directly impacted, and neither are other alt-OSes. Although since F-droid will suffer, there may be less software on it for Graphene users. Apps from anonymous devs may have much less incentive to keep up development just for these alt-OSes.

There's a really disturbing scam happening right now. Obviously this reads like a typical phishing attempt (bad grammar, a malformed phone number to call, etc), but the official Paypal email wasn't spoofed. It came from PayPal's email infrastructure.

Examining the headers shows that SPF, DKIM, and DMARC all pass. If you have a Paypal account, please exercise caution. Don't click links in these emails. Forward them to [email protected].

Please boost for visibility.

A phishing email impersonating PayPal, warning of a $599.99 BTC transaction and urging the recipient to call a phone number to stop the payment or log in to their account.

    Chatgpt for sure builds a profile across multiple chats. If you start a new chat and ask about what it knows about you, you can see the lower bound of how much it knows. However, from the first answer it seems that it did not know what it was doing. Otherwise it would have said something about your username etc.

However, it would be a year before this came to light, because according to a report from Game Developer, Forte demanded secrecy from employees. (Forte refutes this). In both cases, some employees believed that Forte was funding their development, but didn't find out until later that Forte owned the companies. Both studios had several games in progress, and two of Phoenix Labs' games were explicitly designed for younger players. Developers reportedly voiced discomfort with incorporating blockchains into the games, selling digital items to children. Later, Forte pulled the plug on several in-development games at both studios. Then, Forte shut down both studios in 2024, laying off all employees.

    I hate making typos.

    The other day, I accidentally made a typo in a post. I thought "Eh, not many people will see it anyway".

    Today, Threads pushed out an update so I can now see how many views my posts get. Almost 8 million people have seen my big dumb typo. I will never mentally recover from this.
