#PhotoOfTheDay is of the suspended walkway that led to our treehouse room that we stayed in waaaaay up in a tree on the Oregon-California border. I had surprised the family with us staying overnight in what we jokingly called "Endor."
Building homes is one of the most human activities I can think of
Some old #trees are rare enough for them to become monuments, for us to protect them with fences and keep a distance
I fear though that it won't be until we build homes in trees that we will manage to care for them
If #home gets imprinted in our memory, perhaps our oldest homes, those our ancestors kept living in, can still feel familiar even though it's been a long time since we come back
Two young children play with a treehouse. The plastic toy has a large tree canopy that pops up and reveals the inside of the house. There is a door at the bottom of the trunk of the tree. There’s a swing. There’s also a car and there’s some type of hedge that pops open to reveal a dog
