You Just Dare! - 1905 Postcard

@halfpress thank you for the comment. At this time postcards were so popular, that you would read the back of a postcard with somebody playing for more postcards. So this is just a slice of life humor postcard sent to a collector this book, I highly recommend on the history of postcards. Postcards

Trouble Sleeping?

Sylvester opens with taking pills and trying to sleep. He then seen with red eyes in bed. Then the video jumps scene to scene from classic cartoons. Then Goofy is falling a sleep on a bus and leaning into two men on either side reading newspapers. Woody Wood pecker tosses and turns in bed, Some bear is squeezing his eyes to sleep. Daffy Duck has one eye open and its blood shot. Goofy is seen at home perched on the bed post imitating an owl you see out the window. Wide eyed. Donald Duck is seen head under a pillow. There is a fox tossing in bed. Jerry the cat is in a basket with purple eyelids sobbing. Goofy again with wild eyes. The pink Panther holds down his eyelids. We see several of the cartoons again with blood shot eyes and frustrated at not sleeping. In the end, Daffy Duck gets out of bed and shoots the full moon outside his window.

Kmart ad (1976)

In this ad, you see an artist cleverly show you a tall façade of a brick building labeled Kmart. And behind it is a modern Kmart, at least modern as of 1976. The title says “we’ve been in your neighborhood saving place for over 76 years“. They’re showing you that although they still have the original this to themselves they’re very modern in the back end. Hence the artwork.

Amarillo Air Force Base TX, Main Exchange Postcard
