The documents provide smoking-gun evidence that Meta, Google, Snap, and TikTok all purposefully designed their social media products to addict children and teens with no regard for known harms to their wellbeing, and how that mass youth addiction was core to the companies’ business models. The documents contain internal discussions among company employees, presentations from internal meetings, expert testimony, and evidence of Big Tech coordination with tech-funded groups, including the National Parent Teachers Association (PTA) and Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI), in attempts to control the narrative in response to concerned parents.
“These unsealed documents prove Big Tech has been gaslighting and lying to the public for years

"A Gallup poll released yesterday shows President Donald J. Trump’s job approval rating at 36% with disapproval at 60%. Since last month, Trump’s approval has plummeted 11 points. Republicans’ approval of Trump has fallen seven points to a second-term low, while approval among Independents has fallen eight points to its lowest point in either term. Only 3% of Democrats approve of his job performance."
"The polls tell the story no one in power wants to admit. Trump’s approval rating has crashed to second-term lows. ...
Prices are soaring because of tariffs that were sold as painless. ICE raids are tearing through communities like political theater gone wrong. SNAP benefits are being slashed while inflation squeezes families from every direction."
People on #FoodStamps said they were willing to sacrifice to protect #HealthCare benefits. They’re furious that the Democrats gave up.
Jessica Washington, November 12 2025
Excerpt: "The Intercept spoke with four SNAP recipients who said they’re furious that Democrats squandered the sacrifice they made for the last month to ensure access to health care for millions of Americans — just as voters rewarded the party for finally fighting back against Republicans with major electoral victories last week.
" 'We sacrificed and we would continue to sacrifice because we understood what the stakes were. People’s health care was at stake,' said Delight Worthyn, 67, a SNAP recipient with lupus living in New Haven, Connecticut. 'And that they would cave for nothing after we have all gone through this. … I only feel betrayed.' "
The #USDA is requiring #SNAP recipients to reapply for benefits. They already do so every six months. If pain is the point, why not make them apply every month?

monica_artang 20h What if a drug addict used your tax dollars to get SNAP benefits?" My brother in Christ, the government uses my tax dollars to bomb villages, arm warlords, fund coups, and traffic children through proxy states. If a junkie eats because of me, that's the most moral thing my taxes have ever done. You're worried about a Twinkie. I'm worried about a drone strike.
We cannot afford a divided and weak opposition party when an authoritarian is invading our cities, terrorizing our communities, and corruptly self-enriching at the expense of the rest of us. We want to celebrate a Democratic Party that fights back. But after this latest surrender, the next step is primaries and new leadership. We get the party we demand, and we intend to demand one that fights.
@indivisibleteam take Zero time and energy to blame the eight #democratsenators. Their constituents will call. Keep the entire dem team together and make your own rules.
Instead publish names of all the republicans who took pay during the shutdown and what those $ would buy in #snap

The Trump administration is going to the U.S. Supreme Court in its battle to avoid paying SNAP benefits to Americans. An appeals court denied the government's request to continue with planned partial payments rather than reinstate the full amount, and the Trump administration immediately asked the highest court to take up its request. Here's more from @USAToday.

@TheConversationUS. "Nearly 60% of Americans enrolled in SNAP are either children under 18 or adults who are 60 or older. About 1 in 5 non-elderly adults with SNAP benefits have a disability," writes Tracy Roof, an associate professor of political science. "Undocumented immigrants are not eligible for SNAP. Only 4.4% of SNAP recipients in the 2023 fiscal year were immigrants who were not citizens but legally present in the U.S., such as refugees. The 'big' tax-and-spending package Trump signed into law on July 4, 2025, however, ended SNAP eligibility for most of those immigrants."
