I haven't posted monotypes for a while, so here is one, plus a phantom print that turned out IMO as great as the first print.
This image is inspired by dear memories of seeing the shipwreck that lies on the coast of Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands, but I voluntarily didn't look at any ref or at my old photos, so it's probably not so close to the real stuff.
Still on the faithful 30 x 17 cm copper plate I used for nearly all of them.
A large blue and white ship sails through the jetties out into the Gulf of Mexico under a sky filled with clouds. Seagulls frame the scene with one in flight and two standing near the water's edge. Photo Art by Debra Martz
The sailboat is just left of the middle of the photo.
The rear of the ship is in the middle of the photo and the front is just left of the right side of the photo.
The sailboat is inside the breakwall and the ship is outside the breakwall.

This is a black and white photo of a young man on a Bosun's chair high aloft amongst the rigging of a square rigged tall ship. Long Beach, California (2014).
Below and to the right of centre is a young man, a teen, viewed in profile and facing to the left, sitting in a Bosun's chair looking downwards and looking quite relaxed considering his height above the deck. The Bosun's chair is a short plank of wood with two holes drilled at each end then with rope threaded through and upwards above the occupant allowing the seated sailor to be hoisted up to maintain the masts, yards and rigging. About a metre beyond our young sailor is one of the masts itself about a metre in diameter. In among the hundreds of rope lines stretching upwards are two sets of ratlines, one either side of the mast, allowing the sailors to climb upwards to the yards and set the sails.
The ship is the 'Lady Washington' a brigantine laid down in 1987 and used in teaching the history of sailing vessels of a bygone era.
A large cruise ship is docked in a serene harbor, with a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. The picturesque town sits quietly at the foot of the mountains, offering a peaceful and scenic view. Leafy trees in the foreground frame the tranquil scene, enhancing the natural beauty. Photography by Debra Martz
