It falsely states: “The claim ‘vaccines do not cause autism’ is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism.”
The false claim that #vaccines cause #autism can be traced to a 1998 article that has since been retracted, but it has persisted for decades in #AntiVax messaging that has repeatedly come up in conversations at pediatricians’ offices. The connection has been repeatedly disproved through dozens of studies examining hundreds of thousands of children around the world.

Sen. #BillCassidy (R-Louisiana), a #physician who chairs the #Senate#Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee, decided to set aside his misgivings & support #RFKJr after receiving a range of commitments, which he detailed in a Feb. 4 speech on the Senate floor. They INCLUDED that the “#CDC will not remove statements on their website pointing out that #vaccines do not cause #autism.”
