Dan The Man - a classic platformer ported to web using Defold!
Born from Studio JOHO’s web series, turned into a humorous arcade parody by Halfbrick, and installed on 100M+ devices was brought next to the web by Denda Games and Yes2Games.
Game Distribution wrote a short article on finding its place on web and you can play it there too:
Here's my Let's Try of the 2025 #demo of Dono's Tale (PC), a 2D "Yoshi's Island"-inspired #platformer, in development by Super Item Studios. #IndieGame#Gaming
Fist of the Forgotten, my momentum-focused platformer, now has its own separate demo store page, so if you could give it a try and write a review, I'd really appreciate it!
Searching for #News in the #Fediverse? I have now collected 1043 official/verified accounts by media organizations and the number is still growing.
They are not only on #Mastodon or #Flipboard (although most of them are).
For example, I have now 6 that are federated via
@index (#Ghost)
It's a year old. It's a #collectathon#platformer with three levels and three separate Win states, it's got some bonus levels and rooms. It's not easy, you must die a few times to learn the levels!
But it is some fun, I hope.
It is my first game, though I am working on another.
It is free to play or download(win), and I do recommend the download!
Happy to give some play clues to anyone interested.
Alternative box cover artwork for the 1992 Hoi Amiga game in a minimalistic voxel style and retro look, reflecting a situation from the game. I made the original pixel graphics too.
Swipe to alternate between the voxel artwork and original game screenshot.
You don't need a physics engine for a platformer - an inspiring talk full of useful information presented by
@lerg at #MadeWithDefold Jam 2024 is now published!
It's the sequel thread, and this time I'll do it right!
I'll reply to this thread every time I "finish" playing a video game this year. That could mean getting to the end of the story it tells, or just getting to a point where I think I've experienced what the game has to offer me.
By "doing it right" I mean that I won't forget about the part where I don't actually have to play to what would be considered the end of the game.
I managed to tear myself away from Final Fantasy XIV for long enough to play through Kitsune Tails. Super cute and queer #platformer game featuring at least one #FoxGirl and other people and things inspired by #Japanese mythology.
Had a lot of fun with act 1, but upon starting act 2 I first felt like it was kinda of a chore... until I suddenly just got in the groove and kinda blasted through it and felt great! Surprised by how much better my platforming was, too!
The demo doesn't feature much on the choice side, but this is a narrative and choice-driven #platformer#adventure, as advertised on the Steam page. It's mostly a fetch quest to collect some escaped sheep while learning about the town of Hus.
The pixel art is cute and soothing, and the dialogue entertaining. Also, everyone's a #lesbian, which is pretty great. Reminds me of a thing I've written for a possible future game, actually.
The art is apparently #embroidered before being turned into assets for the game, and you can see clear #StudioGhibli (i.e. Miyazaki) influences in the designs. Importantly, though, it's all based on #Slavic folklore.
You play as Elise, medieval mother of two, who runs an inn and falls backwards into a terrifying murder(?) mystery.
