A lucky day is a watercolor painting in landscape format painted by artist Karen Kaspar
The watercolor painting is built up of many layers of different bright fresh green tones and shows the abstracted detail of a wildflower meadow with many four-leaf clovers. On one of the clovers sits a red ladybird with black dots. Due to the strong complementary contrast between red and green, this little lucky ladybird is the focus of the picture and attracts attention. The four-leaf clovers and the ladybird are symbols of luck. I wish you that this picture brings a lot of luck and joy into your home.
Robin bird in an elder bush is an acrylic painting in contemporary square format painted by artist Karen Kaspar. A cute redbreast European Robin - Erithacus rubecula - sits on a branch in an elder bush and sings a beautiful song for you. It is surrounded by the fresh green foliage of the bush. The orange-red breast of the songbird shines out from the different shades of green in the background.
With its song, the bird enchants the bird lover and the gardener in the spring and summer garden.

There’s no better cure for the late-winter blues than a trip to Altamont Gardens in County Carlow. Here’s another pic of the wonderful snowdrops there last week. 🌿🤍🇮🇪
A vertical, eye-level shot taken in a woodland setting at Altamont Gardens. The foreground is filled with a dense carpet of white snowdrops and occasional pink hellebores rising from green grass. To the left, large, thick tree trunks—likely beech—are covered in vibrant green moss. The background shows a depth of tangled bare branches and evergreen yew trees under a soft, diffuse, white-grey sky, creating a moody but peaceful winter atmosphere.
I am watching you is a watercolor painting in portrait format painted by the artist Karen Kaspar. An owl is sitting on a branch. It has lowered its head and looks at the viewer with a penetrating gaze from its bright orange eyes. The plumage is painted with loose brushstrokes in shades of blue and brown. The background is white with splashes of colour in the same shades as the owl's feathers.
A single golden leaf clings to its branch beneath Yosemite Falls, dusted with fresh snow and glowing softly against the storm‑darkened forest. Its delicate veins catch the light like fine metalwork, turning this small, defiant survivor into a quiet symbol of endurance and natural elegance.
A single golden leaf hangs stubbornly beneath Yosemite Falls, its surface dusted with fresh snow that sparkles like fine sugar. The surrounding air feels cold and still, making the leaf’s warm glow stand out against the muted winter forest. It reads as a quiet moment of resilience, delicate yet determined.
Yellow Tulips Triptych left is the left part of my three-part triptych. This consists of three acrylic paintings in portrait format, each with a beautiful tulip blossom painted in bright yellow and orange tones. They shine against an abstract background that suggests a spring garden in fresh green tones. The three parts of the triptych are available both individually in my shop and combined as a complete triptych in horizontal panoramic format.
Robin portrait is an acrylic painting in contemporary square format painted by artist Karen Kaspar. This portrait of a redbreast European Robin - Erithacus rubecula - is painted on a loose abstract background in vibrant orange. Here is the image in a bedroom setting.
A few miles outside of Yosemite Valley but still in the park is a little turnoff on Hwy 120 that mostly goes unnoticed. It's a real shame because at that turn off is this little gem off a waterfall. Cascade Creek drops down from the higher peaks on the north side and then cross under the highway here at the bridge.
Emerald Cascade feels like stepping into a cool, hidden pocket of Yosemite where water, stone, and forest all press close around you.
A sheet of white, rushing water pours down the dark granite chute, its motion captured as a silky blur that glows against the rock. The cascade twists and folds over itself, creating soft, luminous curves that feel almost liquid‑glass. Beneath the flow, the granite is deep charcoal and moss‑green, slick with constant spray, its rough texture just visible through the veil of water.
The pool at the base churns with swirling foam, a pale jade color that gives the image its name—an icy, mineral‑rich green that feels cold just to look at. You can almost hear the sound: a steady, resonant roar layered with sharper splashes as the water hits ledges and pockets in the rock.
Around the falls, the forest leans in. Pines and cedars rise in muted greens, their trunks darkened by moisture. The air feels cool and damp, carrying the scent of wet stone, pine resin, and the faint metallic tang of glacial melt. Light filters softly through the canopy, catching droplets in the air so they shimmer like tiny sparks.
The whole scene feels intimate and alive—one of those places where you sit on a rock, breathe in the cold mist, and let the sound of the water drown out everything else.
Smiling Robin is a watercolor painting in portrait format hand-painted by the artist Karen Kaspar.
A small European Robin with a bright orange breast stands on a light blue shadow. The background is minimalist and emphasises the colorful presence of the bird. The little bird looks towards the viewer and seems to smile at him in a friendly manner.
Like other songbirds, the robin is a welcome guest in my garden and always inspires me to create new paintings.
