A badger, otter, red fox, and chipmunk are sitting in the middle of a graveyard under a half moon and starry sky. They listen as the badger tells spooky stories.
I really think that chipmunks are fantastic little animals. I'm not sure why, maybe because of how cute they are.
I like the background in this image. I chose a wide aperture for this image to blur the background that happened to be a large redwood. I just thought that the contrast between big and small was fitting for this.
Imagine standing quietly in a forest where the air is cool and earthy, and the towering redwoods stretch skyward like ancient sentinels. In the foreground, perched confidently on a burl is a chipmunk. She’s small, with a sleek body and a bushy tail curled slightly behind her. Her fur is a warm blend of browns and soft grays, with delicate stripes running down her back like brushstrokes.
She’s alert, eyes wide and glistening, as if caught mid-thought or mid-adventure. The background is softly blurred, a deliberate choice that makes the chipmunk pop visually while hinting at the massive redwood behind her. That contrast—tiny creature, monumental tree—evokes a sense of wonder and scale.
While hiking in the Mojave Desert of Arizona with my camera in hand, I noticed this cute chipmunk enjoying some fresh green snacks under a bush. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting soft shadows on the dry ground dotted with pebbles and small plants. His tan and brown fur with faint stripes blended perfectly with the warm earth tones, while his bright eyes and full cheeks made the moment irresistible.

Look at this little cutie eating breakfast in the forest of Discovery Park in Seattle! All the trail runners and dog walkers missed this, so here you go - I got it for you. #chipmunk#Seattle#PNW#WildlifePhotography
A small brown chipmunk with pale stripes is perched on a twig and eating a green berry out of its paws. The background is lush green forest foliage.
Did you know there's chipmunks in Korea? I didn't! On a morning hike up a hill in Jeonju (looking for bulbuls), I came across this one nibbling on something on this tree. It's a Siberian chipmunk, which seems to be the only species of chipmunk native to "non-America".
