A photo that has been scribbled on. The photo is a Eurasian robin perched on a branch with its head turned to our left. The small bird has a bright red front, with almost white feathers below on its rotund body, and brown on the top of its head and back. There is a simple scribbled figure standing where it is looking. The figure is leaning in to boop it on the beak. The word BOOP! is scribbled above.
I painted this wasp solely because of its scientific name - Astata boops. I didn't even do a particularly good job of it, but it doesn't matter, because... Astata boops.
These solitary wasps are predators of shield bug larvae, which they paralyze then stuff into underground cells where they lay their eggs.
This painting is a female; males are about 98% eyes.
An extreme close-up of a dog's black nose, focused sharply on the textured surface and nostrils. The surrounding muzzle features short, speckled grey and black fur with a hint of pink on the chin. The rest of the dog's head is soft and out of focus in the background, suggesting the dog is lying close to the camera.
Photo of a framed miniature painting on a wall, surrounded by other framed artwork. The miniature painting is of a tuxedo cat's nose. The surrounding art is in frames of various colors, materials and sizes, and mostly of ink drawings. The paintings on the right side are of a woman laying down, a horse, and an abstract piece. A photo of a young sheep in profile, facing left, standing on a grassy clifftop with the sea beyond. A simple drawn figure stands in front of them and is leaning forward to boop them on the nose. The work BOOP! is scribbled above.
