Seattle Times * KEY UPDATE 10:33 pm Skagit County residents told to evacuate immediately [IMAGE: NOAA, NWS Flood Inundation Mapping (Graphic by Fiona Martin / The Seattle Times)] All Skagit County residents living within the 100-year floodplain should evacuate immediately, county officials advised Wednesday night. That's everything in yellow in the map above. The 100-year floodplain includes areas along the Skagit River and most areas in the western part of the county, including parts of Mount Vernon and much of Burlington and Sedro-Woolley. “LEVEL 3 — GO! ALL RESIDENTS LIVING WITHIN THE 100-YEAR FLOODPLAIN SHOULD EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT WAIT,” read the alert from Skagit County officials.
