I know the LNP and Dutton talk a lot about crime, and law & order.

It’s worth just doing a quick fact check on what’s actually happening in our community.

Here in Canberra, crime rates for almost every offence type have been going down for the past few years. Theft, car stealing, property damage, drug offences… all down.
The only offence types going up in the ACT have been domestic and family violence, and sexual violence.

The idea that aiming for "zero" fraud in a system is a) silly and b) expensive. Paired with the idea that any complex system will have parasites.

The ATO is well aware of how many corporations and high net worth individuals are fully compliant with their tax obligations. It's a constant battle to establish even a moderate degree of compliance.
