1950s or 1960s Stylized Valentine with a woman in a white bathing suit and fishing rod and reel sitting on the edge of a wooden dock. Emerging from the water attached to her line is Swamp Thing holding up a red heart toward her. In the upper right is a heart that says "You're a catch!" and in the lower left is another that says "Be my Valentine?"
oh god it's saturday already THIS WEEK ON #MONSTERDON the weekly monster movie watch party! Tomorrow, in fact! Sunday at 9pm Eastern (that's 1am Monday UTC) come watch a goofy monster flick with the nerds of the Fediverse!
This week we're watching THE 4D MAN (1959) in which a man discovers what time is! No, I'm kidding, it's about a scientist who becomes able to phase through solid matter. Eh, Romulans do it every day ¯_(ツ)_/¯
tomorrow! for #monsterdon's viewing of 4D Man (1959) i'm planning on doing an unofficial ad-free bootleg-ass owncast livestream of the movie again at https://miru.miyaku.media 🗼
⏰ pre-stream countdown with music from the movie, Ultra Q E24 “The Idol of Goga”, and trailer starts at ~8:15pm eastern
🎥 4D Man (1959) starts at 9pm eastern (English audio, hardcoded English subtitles)
🍿 stick around for an old-school double-feature with Master of Horror (1965, English audio with hardcoded English subtitles)
❗please have a backup option just-in-case

This D-named cocktail was popular in the 50s, originating at Don the Beachcomber's tiki bar.
🍹 DON'S DELIGHT 🍊
Combine the following in an ice-filled shaker and shake:
🔸1.5 oz White rum and Dark rum
🔸2 oz Orange juice and Pineapple juice 🔸.5 oz Lime juice, Simple syrup, and Orgeat syrup
🔸2 dashes Angostura bitters
Strain into glass. Slowly pour in grenadine (0.25 oz). Let it sink. Garnish with orange wheel and Maraschino cherry.
An older man with a weathered face, wearing a hat, appears animated while speaking. Subtitles read, "It's got a death curse!" The background features a house with windows.
A stylized hockey mask with black dots and red markings, accompanied by the text "HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13TH!" in bold red letters against a dark blue background.

I have no idea how this film came to be called
H.G. Wells' The Shape of Things to Come but I will say how nice it was to see the old #Toronto#OntarioPlace as it was and especially the #BuckminsterFuller designed but sadly overbuilt (bucky said) dome, and, well, maybe I'd rather remember it destroyed by an evil megalomaniacal technocrat. #monsterdon material for sure
Since you have all seen The Giant Claw, which I am very sad that I missed, and would like very much to view with y'all, might I suggest:
Zombies of Mora Tau (1957)
aka
The Dead that Walk.
I bet you haven't seen that one.. and it is supposed to actually be good..
