We needed a bushy location for a kidnapping scene in one of our short film. The story required a place that felt hidden and a bit isolated. After scouting, we found this green, overgrown spot that matched the world of the film perfectly. That’s where we shot the scene. #sisi#film#movies#art#cinema#filmmaker#filmmaking
From one of our short films, we needed a setting that felt like the 1990s, even though we were shooting in Kampala. Finding places that still look and feel that old isn’t easy, but we came across this house and it worked perfectly for the world of our film. #film#art#cinema#filmmaker#filmmaking#movies#sisi
A film crew prepares a scene outdoors in front of a weathered mud house, with a camera on a tripod, sound equipment in use, and actors standing by the wall as the crew sets up the shot.
A scene from the short film, Please Wait. In this shot, the character is looking straight into the camera, which we used as a stand-in for a mirror between two hostages. Both sides were filmed in the same room, with the camera placed to create the feeling of separation. On screen, it plays as two different spaces, but it was all shot from one location. #film#art#cinema#filmmaker#filmmaking#movies#sisi
A camera records a woman in a yellow overall seated behind an open space, with the camera monitor showing her framed face as part of an indoor film shooting.
In 2025 we trained students in different districts of Uganda. That is Arua (West Nile), Gulu (Northern Uganda), Mbale (Eastern Uganda), Kabale (Western Uganda), and Kampala (Central). Later, some of the students came to Kampala for an internship on a TV series, Tatu Taps on Love. This blog shares moments from different district trainings. https://sisifilmcollective.org/sisi-film-lab-training/ #film#sisi#filmmaking#movies#art#cinema#filmmaker#blog
We finally managed to wrap the TV series, Tatu Taps on Love during the internet lockdown in Uganda.
It was two and a half months of waking up early, long days, and pushing through despite the challenges. Now it’s done, and it feels good to say we finished. Grateful to everyone who showed up and made it possible. #sisi#film#movies#art#cinema#filmmaker#filmmaking
Close-up of a Blackmagic camera on a tripod, showing its screen framing an indoor film scene. Two people sit at a small table inside a room, one smiling and leaning forward while the other has a cup to his lips and is holding a paper. Cables and a patterned cloth are wrapped around the camera body, with the set visible in the background.

Hey, my first post here on Mastodon! Allow me to introduce myself! I am a hobbyist LEGO stop motion animator and aspiring storyteller! I like good stories focused on original concept as well as great stories around already established franchises (Sonic, etc.).
I hope to gain some traction on this new platform, and some new attention and feedback on my work as a whole!
Today we started shooting our TV series, Tatu Taps on Love. It rained in the morning, so we had to wait a bit before we could begin, but once the sky cleared, the energy came back. Everyone was excited for today and it turned out to be such a beautiful first day on set. #film#sisi#filmmaking#movies#art#cinema#filmmakers

A woman in a bright green outfit stands nearby holding a white water bottle. Behind them, crew members stand near cameras and lighting equipment, including a large reflector.

The album cover presents a somber and evocative scene rendered in an expressive, impressionistic style. Dominated by cool blues and grays, the background depicts a rough-hewn interior with visible brushstrokes creating a sense of depth and unease. A single, worn wooden chair sits centrally, casting a subtle shadow and suggesting abandonment. Bold, blocky text reading "LASHMAN" sits at the top, while the album title "ASHES IN THE RAFTERS" is placed below the chair, contributing to the overall feeling of isolation and mystery.
It seems like the entire world of film-enthusiasts came together and decided to bully one person for no reason what so ever. And that one person is Michael Bay.
