my test animation ended up janky, because it did not occur to me that the sky might change brightness throughout. also my phone clamp is super sproingy so it is hard to keep still.
we will just explain it as the spaceship not being in great shape.

Hey, my first post here on Mastodon! Allow me to introduce myself! I am a hobbyist LEGO stop motion animator and aspiring storyteller! I like good stories focused on original concept as well as great stories around already established franchises (Sonic, etc.).

I hope to gain some traction on this new platform, and some new attention and feedback on my work as a whole!

Sonic the Hedgehog is knocked back, and he catches himself, grabs his bouncing Lightsaber hilt, and dodges a jump attack from Darth Vader. Vader then uses the Force to hurl a large object (in which the camera is at the moment) at Sonic, who turns quickly to address the projectile.

A dark, stylized, black-and-white video in stop-motion animation, reminiscent of old cinema. It begins with the title "Athelis i Krell," displayed against an abstract, luminous rift in the darkness. The image transitions into a dense, grainy, swirling fog, where English subtitles appear sequentially, building the mood: "Somewhere on the border of worlds...", "...where fog blurs the shapes of reality...", "...destiny awaits its time." As the last words fade, a figure of a girl in a light dress emerges from the fog, standing with her back turned. An unseen wind tugs at her dark hair. Tension mounts until a monumental, terrifying creature – Krell – emerges from the vapors on the left. The beast stands on four legs, has a long tail, numerous horns and spikes, and a grotesque maw. Its dark body is adorned with mysterious, glowing points. A series of fast, disjointed, glitch-like shots follows, intensifying the chaos and unreality of the encounter. The scene finally stabilizes. Athelis, the girl, stands calmly face-to-face with the enormous creature. She slowly raises her hand and gently places it on the monster's face. Precisely at this moment of touch, the silence is broken by powerful, deep, orchestral music. The sound is dark, resonant, and majestic; it does not evoke fear but rather imbues the moment with an epic, solemn, and almost tragic dimension, emphasizing the significance of this silent pact.

In over a month, will be returning to theaters, remastered. But with an extra surprise added in. Before the movie, a 3D short will be shown called The Thrifting. With Anna Kendrick reprising Courtney. And Finn Wolfhard in an undisclosed part.

The movie will be back in cinemas Oct 25-28. Check Fathom for locations.

Hi!

I'm Pauline, I'm a costume maker for stopmotion animation films. I work for films, series, shorts and adverts. I live in France.
I also like to collect and customise dolls and to draw.

A zoom on the bluedafflecoat. It has tiny button detail.
A whitehaired doll with a victorian dress. The dress has bug puffed slives and a big bow in a silky fabric.
4 puppets in a row at an exhibition. Those puppets are from the movie Inventor, dressed in Renaissance attires. From the left to the right there is a small and round cartoony boy, with a big feather hat, a black haired woman with a crown and a black dress, a man with a moustache and blue striped clothes and a blond haired man with a luth and pink and green outfit.
