What happened in Sydney’s streets (Hyde Park) was entirely predictable. Police violence and anti-democratic laws delivered an inevitable outcome. We all saw this. Social media will undoubtedly provide more evidence of state violence against its citizens. But the real question is this:
Why is it that seemingly intelligent people like @AlboPM and @ChrisMinns will not differenciate between #anti-semitism, #Antifa#AntiGenocide#IsraeliUltraNationalism and #Zionism ? Anyone can look it up and the differences could not be clearer. So why peddle Israeli misdirection, misinformation and its fascist propaganda. That is the question.
Why would our political leaders (not all of them of course) peddle lies to keep the Israeli government (not the Jewish people per say) on side? What is it that compels our leadership to pursue this charade at the cost of Australian rights to protest (and physical harm at the hands of an aggressive police force).

Most data breaches do not require any cryptographic wizardry
Of the ones that involve cryptography, side-channels (timing, power, etc.) are not an attacker's first choice
The inability to have guarantees that the compiler will not make code variable-time as part of an "optimization" is a massive pain point in writing secure implementations of cryptography
And, sure, the LLVM work won't stop app developers from fucking up something on the OWASP Top 10 list for a given year. Nor will it stop phishing from being hella effective against most users and services.
But it does reduce compiler doom and various forms of auditor bikeshedding, which makes applied cryptography work a little easier to get done.
And the best mitigation we have for phishing attacks today is WebAuthn... which uses cryptography. :P
Sometimes, naysaying is actually counterproductive.

I don't use Mullvad myself, but I recently browsed privacyguides.org, which says the following:
Custom server IPs: To counter IP-blocking, you can request custom server IPs from Mullvad's support team. Once you receive the custom IPs, you can input the text file in the "Server IP override" settings, which will override the chosen server IP addresses with ones that aren't known to the censor.
Maybe you can ask the support team whether they can give you an IP that is not publicly known as VPN.
