Abstract

Open peer commentary on the article “A Difference That Makes No Difference: Uncertainty in and of the Observer” by Andrey S. Druzhinin & Diego A. Ramírez. Abstract: In our response to the commentators, we analyze uncertainty in the ecology of living and cognition. Specifically, we address the role of the brain, behavior and the natural as well as the cultural environment in the arising of uncertainty. We also reflect on questions of how uncertainty, in turn, affects the brain, behavior and the environment of the organism.
