@KatS @ljwrites @gunchleoc @dilmandila 100% Title:Orig Author NameEdited and Updated by DDPreface before the text explaining original authorship, cultural and personal reasons, explanation of the edits.@Louiestowell Makes the other good point. How old is the work? You will have copyright issues if it is still covered. @webhat Notes the copyrights you need to look at.And to avoid problems, you could just read that book, read whatever you can on the other written interpretatios of the myths, go interview folks, and write a new work with annotations and footnotes citing inspiration sources. And a complete bibliography in the back. Personally, I would opt for this last one. You are not calling anyone out on racism, which I do not have a problem with, however lawyers may have fun with it. You are also expanding on the myth pulling in other variations and nothing it's cultural significance by doing so. And you're basically creating an academic work that I suggest you submit to university presses for publication and archiving.
