Isabela Raygoza is an associate editor at Billboard, where she covers Latin music. Raised in the San Diego-Tijuana borderlands and based in New York City, she has spent more than 15 years chronicling the artists, movements and cultural currents shaping Latin music today. At Billboard, she has written major features and cover stories on stars including Kali Uchis, Fuerza Regida, Becky G and Nicky Jam, and has interviewed artists such as Karol G, Romeo Santos, Juanes, Enrique Iglesias, J Balvin, Maná and Marco Antonio Solís. She has also moderated Billboard events and panels. In 2023, she was honored as a Wonder Woman of Latin Music by the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) in partnership with Amazon Music. Beyond Billboard, she has written cover stories and features for VICE, Rolling Stone, MTV News, Dazed, Pollstar, AARP, the Grammys and the Latin Grammys program book. Raygoza holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from UC Berkeley and a master’s degree in media, culture and communication from NYU.
