I was curious about the in-universe etymology of their names:
Boro-: Derived from the Sindarin word boron, meaning “steadfast”, “trusty man”, or “faithful vassal”.
Fara-: Derived from the Elvish root far-, meaning “sufficent” or adequate".
-mir: Derived from the Quenya word mírë (or Sindarin mîr), meaning “jewel”, “precious thing”, or “treasure”
Ouch.
Oof…
THIS MY SON OF BELOVED BORON WOULD HAVE KICKED YOUR ELVISH ASS
Poor Faramir memes always make me chuckle.
Old version:

“Father, I got a hole in one.”
“Boromir would have gotten two.”

We should make an army of these.
“Boromir’s template would have been in HD.”
Has I become Faramir?
I can has disgrace?
Boromir would have taken hundreds of disgraces!
Father, I’m going to play badminton
That’s good son, have fun!

Boromir would know how to spell Faramir
I knew there was something unfamiliar…
Will change it and thanks.
What a disappointment that boy turned out to be.
I do not want the responsibility of being a mod, but we should call the community of boromir memes “Disappointed Fathers”

Oh Walter… What about Peter?
